The Shogun - 9:30pm, BBC2

Post by grim_tales »

Anyone going to watch this? It looks interesting. Its a drama-documentary about the Shogun in Japan, a great military leader, Tokugawa Ieyasu, who overthrew the Governing Dynasty and established the age of the Samurai as the Shogun :)
I hope all the actors speak Japanese which would make it authentic.

I watched it for 2-3 minutes, but the bad acting and the english made me click away. Plus, it just looked like actors in a fake setting. Didnt look very authentic.

I'm sure I'm too harsh on it, but it's pretty hard to make a fair and balanced assesment of the show when you click it away after 2-3 minutes.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

I agree with you about the clunky script and English voice acting. That really annoyed me. And listening to Samurai saying "yeah" :? Seemed like cheesy American dub for a samurai film.
