Yeah, just read it on a dutch site :N
I think the recordcompanies really think that the costumers who always boughttheir cpear cd's from CDWOW, will now gladly go back to buying the local legal cd's, which are way more expensive (!)
I just download my music, and news like this just makes me feel good about that. The sooner recordcompanies lose their power, the better.
Too bad about CDWOW. I often used them to order asian dvds, but I guess now I'll have to do that through dddhouse and yesasia...

Oh man I really hope not. Surely not? They must make a mint even with their music troubles.
CD WOW have been easily the best music/film e-tailor for years. It would be a real shame to see them go. There's no way I'd go back to buying from shops, if they do go under I'll just go elsewhere (probably Play for CDs).
I have 4 orders open with them, one isn't to be released until next month.
I'd imagine if it is true that another company will by them (they have a well respect brand) BUT it could mean the end to vouchers and cheap CDs. They even manage to beat Play's CD prices.
p.s - I think I may e-mail them and ask. They've been honest with me in the past.
