Image Comparisons

The newly remastered special edition sports a fantastic new transfer. The transfer was personally supervised by animator Gary Goldman. The telecine Wobble and dirt/scratches found in the old release are almost completely non-existant. The colours have been corrected and the bleeding found in the opening credits and pretty much throughout the movie has vanished. There was some heavy clipping in the original transfer and that has all been fixed for this new disc.

DVD Menus

These new menus feature some animation accomanied by music and sound effects. Much better than the original disc.

I got the Region 2 widescreen edition and it is vastly inferior to the captured images from the Region 1 special edition. The film is noisy, grainy and almost out of focus. I did get it dirt cheap, so no regrets. I've made caps of the three widescreen frames that are presented above:
