Well I couldn't gaurentee you won't get conned, but the odds are pretty damn low, if I rememebr correctly watchdog found hundreds of cases in the uk....out of tens of millions of transactions. its something similar odds wise to getting 5 numbers on the lottery.
still, i make my housemate do all the ebay purchasing, its simpler that way

Its simple really Toge if its too good to be true then dont go there.....
I've done over a 100 transcations and i have only once or twice had problems
and that was form people who didnt pay. They made some excuse and i just re-auctioned the item.
IF some is saying there moving abroad and need the cash hence quick sale and they have brand new nike are max 95's for 15 quid then you know its a scam !
99% of poeple on ebay are fine its the 1% that are twats.
Quite a few of the bullets regualrs use ebay and i bet they haven't had any horror storyies to tell

As long as you have brains and know what looks dodgy you wont get ripped off, yes normal people do get ripped off, but really I can spot cons a mile away and anyone with enuff savy should be able to as well, I know who to buy from and who not to and its all went fine for me, stick with people with shitloads of feedback and you should be fine, dont trust dodgy twats with a few feeback comments and who only sell expensive items, and basically if it looks too good to be true it may well be.
I find it easy and am making shiotloads and buying shitloads too. I love it

Java games question
Hey,
Anyone know if I can download and install some sort of Javascript program so I can play proper games (like the ones HERE
For some reason the IE6 browser I'm using isnt Java compatible? (It wasnt our PC in the first place, don't ask). Downloading a new browser (Mozilla or something) would take ages though I'm sure.

JavaScript is part of all browsers and should be usable in IE6 and everything else as most websites out there rely on it in some way or another. If you are sure that JavaScript is definitely not working for you then you need to adjust your browser security settings for the execution of JavaScript.
As for Java, Microsoft have their own Java Virtual Machine (JVM (this is needed to run Java programs)) which is part of most MS OSs except for XP, XP SP1a and SP2 (MS removed it from these releases because they said they weren't going to support it anymore, although they have since said they will support it for longer). Not that you would want to to use it anyway as it has plenty of unpatched security bugs in there, which Spyware progs and other malicious apps are known to exploit. Woah, going off on a tangent there, regardless, if you don't have a JVM then you will need to download one, I'd go for the one from Sun (the people who invented Java) which is avaible from: Sun Java Website over the MS one anyday.
If you have Norton Internet Security running, then that might also be interfering.
Anyway, keep downloading FireFox regardless because it wipes the floor with IE6 and is far less of a security risk.

I uninstalled the program because of its' appalling sluggishness on our machine, and did some tinkering about in IE's security settings, enabling ActiveX controls and stuff (Java isnt mentioned specifically) but it still doesnt seem to work.
Its' probably because, as you say - XP Service Pack 2 (which I have) wont support Java VM.
Very odd I don't the version I downloaded was Sun Java 2 or higher though, maybe it was an older one.
I'll have another go.

Unleashed
Just to let you guys know, the trailer for the film formerly known as Danny The Dog is on Apple's trailers site. It's been re-named to the slightly less interesting Unleashed. Still looks good though
And if I can't get to my PC in the next few days, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
