24 - Day 6

Post by IronMonkey »

I can't believe it. The first four hours have been a harrowing experience. :(

Old Bauer gets kidnapped by the Chinese and gets taken away!!!!
President of the US gets found out, yet as with always with 24 you don't find out who the main group of bad guys are... I think the main group are all connected with 24, from Season 1 onwards, they are truely the main bad guys

Days 4 and 5 were rather ropey. The creators seemed to totally forget about the whole 'real-time' aspect and all the technical aspects they seemed to get wrong; how, I'm not sure, as they'd got 'em right in the first two seasons. The third season had a couple of dodgy episodes, but as a whole, it worked. But 4 and 5... Anytime Jack wasn't on screen, I couldn't give a monkeys.

Spoiler:

As for Day 6, well, I like how they've started, especially with Curtis Manning. And the best thing so far is that the White House and CTU have finally decided to help Jack out really early on, rather than impeding his progress like they normally do. A mate of mine and myself have always said that the show would be called 12 instead of 24 if everyone just listened to Jack in the first place and did what they were told :D

The very first episode was a joke. In only 15 or 20 minutes, Jack lands, is explained everything, is ready to work with them again, shaves, changes his clothes and is delivered to the bad guys. Hello?

But from episode 2 it starts to be great again. Season 5 was such a disappointment, but the 6th season starts out really great with episodes 2 - 4.

Agree with Slasher, though. Season 2 was the best season so far.

OK, I've watched so much 24 over the past few weeks that I think I might be OD'ing. So, I've decided to watch the episodes when they're shown on Sky One HD. We're only 6 days behind the US now, which is something I resist; the benefit being shiny HD :D

Too... much... 24...
I just knew that James Cromwell was going to be bad. What I didn't guess was that he'd kill Paul "I like it!" McCrane. Boo! Hiss! :D

And yes, it was in HD :D

I laughed so much when Logan appeared on the other line. What's next in this show, is Terri going to come back to life, or Nina for that matter? Still it's a hell of a show.

Oh come why did the writer kill off Alexander Siddig character Hamri Al-Assad!!!. I thought he was excellent in 24, it's a bit like the 2nd season, where they killed off the the arab agent. I was hoping Al-Assad would still be alive till the end of the day!. Love the way the writer are now showing Thomas Lennox in a different view, after everything that has happened. He was hardcode, wanting to round up all the innocent people because of war, but now what he has seen. I like that part of the series.
