I fucking LOVE this movie! Why people bog it down, I don't know. Ignore the reviews and just watch the film 8) !

You can see the majority of details here (http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=7966). Note Columbia is cut and I haven't added any proper details (didn't own the disc at the time).

Columbia Tristar DVD has proper subtitles. It's the Aquarius print and it's not very good (like SWM, there are extremely dark passages in some parts and it's cut). Another problem is the Cantonese soundtrack reverting to English for about 4 minutes - 2 passages are the ghost battles about 30 minutes in and during the finale when Yi Lang yells a Tiger variation before killing Luk Tsing Yan. Columbia may have ripped the Ocean Shores/Winners Video sources as they are nearly the same soundtrack (bareing in mind both contain footage not in the other) but the 'Tiger' line is on both oddly.

Winners Video looks to be a PAL>NTSC>PAL conversion. Reason possibly because it uses Ocean Shores DVD/laserdisc as it's source - different footage however suggests the laserdisc maybe an alternative offering (or it's a unique print altogether). It has a pinkish English 'Spiritual Kung Fu' title card (deleting the point where the original bi-lingual English/Chinese title card was) during Yi Lang's punishment which maybe from an export print (although the credits are the usual bi-lingual English/Chinese unless a hybrid source was used).

Eastern Heroes uses a fairly detailed source, but it's cropped to hell and uses at least one other (inferior) source for the majority of the film! It's still cut by about one minute. Not a great experience.

Ocean Shores looks the best here. I'd say this was the winner despite it's subtitles/cuts/cropping e.t.c. Ocean Shores are said to have made 4:3 video masters and discarded the originals. They wouldn't even let the decent 'Media Blasters' have the rights to 'Mystery Of Chess Boxing' (yet they'll not release it themselves)!

I have a copy of the Spectrum DVD but it's downgraded from DVD-9 to DVD-5 so it would be unfair to include it.

Columbia Tristar = R1 America.
Winners Video = R0 Hong Kong.
Eastern Heroes = R0 United Kingdom.
Ocean Shores = R0 Hong Kong.

I'd go with the Ocean Shores as it's the least shit.

And only cropped by like 1000 inches.

I'll wait for the Joy Sales DVD.

What's missing from the EH DVD?

Could you compare the Spectrum caps as well?
According to DVD Compare that DVD is the best, but of the caps you posted Ocean Shores is the least shit.
