why would the matrix be obviously cut? it's been reclassified uncut so i'm sure Warner will release the same version here. the usa set i have has the 3 movies in seperate keepcases. and the Matrix is tons better than Blade Runner which frankly is a bit boring...though i'm giving it another chance on blu-ray.

I suspect The Matrix would be passed uncut now even with a '15'.

They're less edgy about headbutts and earclaps these days.

My bad I didn't know it was now uncut. Salty: Are yours double sided or 2 discs for each film?

Blade Runner boring??? Matrix tons better??? Blade Runner has so much depth, way more than just a clever sci-fi action film. Rutger Hauer's speech oh my god outstanding.

Blade Runner is a masterpiece (and that's in it's DC form). The Matrix is merely very good, when compared against The Matrix Blade Runner is in another league.

Speaking of Blade Runner, it probably will never happen but it's still interesting:

At the 2007 Comic-Con, director Ridley Scott again announced that he is considering a sequel to the film.

Just play the fantastic Blade Runner game, one of the last great point-and-click adventure games. Takes place parallel to the film.

Blade Runner is overrated,Harrison Ford is bland as hell in this. Brion James & Joanna Cassidy are the best two things in it.

because as i've said it's years since i've seen it so i'll give it another chance. £18 is peanuts, if i still don't like it ebay it will go,at a profit as well probably.

Me too. £18 will buy you bags and bags of peanuts.

If it were me I'd rent/borrow the DVD to see if I still like it. It's almost unheard of that a Director's Cut will make you suddenly like a film when you didn't before. It just seems a bit weird to me to spend nearly 20 notes on a film you don't even like, Five Disc SE or not. Anyway fair enough.

£18 these days is nothing,i could spend that on a round in the pub.and no i'm not rich either.

why is it unheard of to change opinion on a movie? i thought the Shining was poor when i saw it in the cinema back in 1980,now i think it's a classic. Taxi Driver i thought overrated,watched again recently,excellent film.

WOW these came from no where. Sendit and Choices have the recent UK Momentum French HD-DVD ports from for only £15.89 (Free postage in the UK) each:

Terminator 2 HD-DVD -

They also have "The Graduate" and "Leaving Las Vegas".

It's identical to the much more expensive French HD-DVD but is only the Extended Cut (no Theatrical Cut), considering the French HD-DVD has forced subtitles for the Theatrical Cut anyway I don't consider it a huge loss.

i buy loads of films on spec-Last Samurai hd-dvd for example.thought it was average,moved it on at no loss.it's the new way of renting

What with Sony owning the rights to The Terminator in most parts of the worlds it's a shame it will be a while before we see a decent version of that.

I hear the Terminator blu-ray is pretty decent.the sky HD showing looks good,i'll soon know,mine's on the way from axelmusic. i got T2 from play using my playtrade income 8)

The DVD Talk review of the Terminator BD goes into some depth explaining how it really looks no better than the DVD:

The problem is that the Blu-ray hardly looks like High Definition at all. In fact, in the majority of scenes it's barely distinguishable from the 2001 DVD edition of the movie. In direct comparison, there's a modest improvement in detail and clarity, especially in the brightest daylight scenes, but overall it still looks like a better-than-average DVD.
