I also dont see the big problem. It's as big as a normal sized picture, and it costs way less effort then clicking ona link to go to an outside page, which will have ads and stuff...
If anyone doesnt want to see the video, he/she should just not click on the picture!?

The complaint doesnt make sense to me. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what Toge did.

edit: in fact, I found it even more helpfull and better then the usual links, as it makes you check out the video more easily.
