I dunno. If the porn was added without the director's consent then I'd probably go for the soft version. But at the end of the day one has to decide for oneself which version they prefer? I'm not a fan of hardcore in movies myself, I admit. If I wanna wank there's plenty stuff on the net for that.

THRILLER uncut is pathetic, the porno scenes really hit you and frankly ruin the film. I loved the film, really slow moving etc.. but damn them porno scenes gut the film

I wish I had got the cut version, as hell the porn in it is soooo awful.

Beleve me no one in their right mind could wank over the porn scenes in Thriller (well Bradavon may try), they are pretty much rape scenes, and feature very ugly, hairy people jerking off. Nasty stuff, not what I call a film. If it shows people tossing off all over, that aint a film.

That reminds me I need to sell my copy, as hell the porn in the film has pretty much put me off ever watching it again. Guess I will go for the other non ugly porn cut.

I'd say Thriller is notably rougher than any of those. But it's been quite a many years since I saw it and my memory isn't the most reliable...

I didn't love it as a whole, but many single scenes, such as the ending, are brilliant.

when this dvd was released it was well known it was the hard porno version.so why did you buy it knowing this?

I did not know anything about it, some films I read bugger all about

in the hope they suprise me and blow me away. I knew it had some sex in it, but not full on nasty stuff.

But I am not saying it is not worth seeing, its a great film. Just not something I could share with anyone I know, would feel a bit odd if I had someone take it from my shelf and watch it thats for sure.

Even so it's not exactly needed it is.

You're only interested because it's "uncut"

when in reality it's not uncut but an alternate extended cut (at best). The other version is the "uncut" edition.

The porn isn't director approved or part of the film and was thrown in so, well it had porn. Yipeey!

The porn is very much director approved. He's the one who put it there as far as I know.

The non-porn version was created for US markets (as far as I know), and is very much the cut version.

Well obviously the porn bits are there not to turn people on (either that, or there are some... uhm, how to put it nicely... very weird people) but to be shocking and disgusting, in order to make the revenge sweeter as Romero said.

Death Proof - International Cut - 3.5/5
Beginning is pants and quite unnecessary character establishment. I know it i supposed to be like that in order to stay true to the genre, but still.
The ending is classic, though. Wonderfully executed chase sequence and Kurt Russel plays one hell of a sorry kick-ass motherfucker.

I liked the start. I liked Death Proof from start to end. I've still not seen Planet Terror as it's still not played near me :shock:

I cannot be bothered to download it.
