I prefer NBK but I'd love that too. I wonder how they pick which to Remaster next.

Natural Born Killers is a pile of arse (Eva summed it up accurately) and True Romance pisses over it.

Welcome to the Jungle/Rundown uncut BDs:

* Scandinavian (Denmark): http://www.dvdoo.com/dvd-film/welcome-t ... _17234.php
* Germany: http://www.digital-movie.de/dvd-reviews ... ArtNr=6431
* Holland: http://www.dvd-home.nl/review/brhd/welcomejungleBD.htm
http://www.dvd.nl/reviews.php?reviewid=3342

Scandinavian BD claiming to be uncut here: http://www.releaselists.com/BLURAYInternational.html

I can vouch for www.dvdoo.com as reliable.

Given that it's uncut everywhere, except the UK cinema release and Sony simply stuffed up the UK BD. It should be safe to buy any Mainland BD. The German and Dutch reviews all say the running time is 104 minutes, which matches the IMDB listing.

No worries.

I noticed Optimum have this in the UK:

http://www.optimumreleasing.com/theatrical.php?id=695

Which means a Region Free BD and likely to have Lossless Audio. I'll wait to see what Optimum give us, given that the USA BD is Region Locked and the Spanish BD seems to only have regular Full-Rate DTS, plus only English subs for the film.

It's also a pity New Line didn't port the two commentaries over, here's a review:

I noticed Guillermo del Toro executive produces this and it says "Guillermo del Toro Presents" on the poster.

I bet that's partly why it's locked.

Give me the cash, and I won't get one :D

I'd only get a USA Player but that doesn't mean I want a Region Locked BD, when you'll likely be able to get a Region Free disc in a few months.

why would region locking matter to you if you are getting a usa machine?you've said yourself there is nothing on Region B you are missing out on?

You do like going round in circles don't you ;). I've said it many times, but just for you :D - As you know I've only ever been interested in Region A, yes there is nothing on Region B that interests me but that doesn't mean I want Region Locked discs.

Why? Because they're less future safe and I cannot lend them to people, who're bound to get a Region B BD Player. Obviously if the Region A disc is better or only on Region A I'll buy it but given a choice I can wait.

For example: Lionsgate's Rambo 4 is bound to be Region A but Sony's UK disc will likely be Region Free and have an identical spec. If it ends up not having the deleted scenes and/or losssless audio I'll get the Lionsgate BD. The same goes for The Orphanage. Optimum tend to port all/most extras over, usually include lossless audio and have never used region coding yet. I've only just seen it so am happy to wait.

Likewise, if The Orphanage was a Fox disc in America and the UK I'd obviously not wait.

Starship Troopers (1997) & Starship Troopers: Marauder:

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/show/ ... u-ray/1664

Coming in July with PIP Bonus View. There are quite a few Profile 1.1 compatible discs starting to come out. I bet we'll see more and more of it, but Profile 2.0 disc will remain the rarity, at least this year anyway.

Thanks Brad. Innocence is one outstanding film.

I wonder if it'll be better than the JPN BD from Disney?

I e-mailed Dutch Filmworks to ask if their Reservoir Dog BD is Region Free or Region B. Here is their response:
Answering your questions:

1) It is Regio encoded. This has only happened once in november, our other products are region free.
2) It is Single Layer
3) It has DTS-HD Master Audio
4) The extra`s are in Standard Definition
5) They are PAL

The Blu-Ray part of our website is still in development.
That's a pity, it means both Reservoir Dogs BDs are Region Locked. I wanted the Dutch BD as it has more extras and the USA one is Region Locked. Oh well I'll have to get the USA disc.

It's particularly worth noting the extras are PAL!

Extras aside the discs look very similar:

1. BD25
2. MPEG2
3. DTS-HD MA/HR - Rewind "says" the USA disc is HR. Not that it matters I imagine. Reservoir Dogs works in plain jane stereo.

Cool.

Short Circuit is great but it's one of those 80s films I still like but no longer consider keepers. If they're on TV I always end up watching them though, usually in the background.

I don't know if this is old news, useful news or worthless news but here is a list of German Concorde HD Discs:
- Underworld uncut (HD & BR)
- Tomb Raider 1 - Lara Croft (HD & BR)
- Tomb Raider 2 - Cradle of life (HD & BR)
- 12 Monkeys (HD & BR)
- Silent Hill (HD & BR)
- We were soldiers uncut (HD & BR)
- Death Sentence (only BR)
- 30 days of night (only BR)
Source: AVS Forum PM

I'm not sure if it's all the titles. 12 Monkeys BD is the only one that interests me. Not that I'm in any rush to buy it.
