Cool can't wait, I do love Carpenter/Russell Commentary on Big Trouble in Little China and The Thing (Poss one of the best commentary I have heard). It been a long time since I have seen both films, I can't even remember the Fly now.

From the Borders bookstore in the big mall up the road from my university. They have a "2 DVDs for $40" (which is reasonably cheap for a DVD in NZ) special on all the R4 Kitano films released by Madman (except the newer release of Hana-Bi with the DD5.1 remix).

I'm still comptemplating whether to either grab Boiling Point + Hana-Bi or get the newer release instead for the DD5.1 remix - the transfer and extras are EXACTLY the same, the only addition is the remix (which is reportedly quite decent).

Oh Hana-Bi is a great movie, love that, really want to get the best versionof that. Haven't checked out Boiling Point yet. The think I love about Kitano films is the stirring music. It is soo beautiful.

Just Recieved today: Godzilla - BFI Region 2. Now what to do with my madman release, but just rip the USA version and sell it.

I think Grim has got the original. Just recently saw the updated series, and it also really really good. Loved TMHT

when it came out and love the movies, so they alway have a special place in my heart.

Yeah thats right Eva, its' the original series.

Wierdly I've only ever seen the first 3 seasons of that (censored) plus 2 episodes of the fourth season (1991).

Just ordered the TinTin 10 disc set for £18 from Amazon

I know it was £16.97 but I decided I wanted it quicker so paid for 1st class post, meh

Cool... Tell me what the tintin set is like, and if the french soundtrack has english subs on it.
For Lady Vengeance, I might wait until Tartan release their version, I do wish they include the black and white version as well

I will Slasher. The original Anchor Bay DVDs did not subtitle the French version, it just might be a repackaging of the old single DVDs...

Not sure.
Also I will probably get TMNT: Season 3 (Old series) soon

Yeah that prob the case with Anchor Bay, repacking the old single dvds. Oh well.

Cool, what are the first two season like? Extra wises and A/V? I want to get this, I've got Batman 1993 Cartoon Season 1 and the extras are excellent. Have you seen the updated TMNT cartoon? They are pretty good and a bit darker than the old series

Havent got the 2nd season of TMNT yet - S1 was OK - but the video wasnt great and the only extras are, wierdly - 4 episodes from the 10th season in 1996, as the series look and tone had changed considerably by that point.
S2 has 13 episodes on 1 disc (I think) but S3 is split into "Volumes" as S3 had about 45 episodes in it.

Adventures of TinTin - 75th Anniversary Box. It comes with a booklet about Herge and TinTin.

It has 10 DVDs in VERY thin cases in the box.

Unfortunately there are no English subtitles (or any subtitles) on the disc. Oh well.
