Guilty of Romance (Sion Sono) (R18+)

Don't be too sad. I've watched both cuts of the film twize now and, just like with Takashi Ishii's A NIGHT IN NUDE: SALVATION, I actually greatly prefer the shorter, international edit. I find these longer Japanese cuts to be more like the "extended cuts" we routinely get of Hollywood flicks. In both cases, a whole bunch of scenes that got cut for good reason are crammed back into the film. Still, I'm glad to have seen the additional material and ideally every single release worldwide would include both cuts so that every viewer can make up his or her own mind.

Looks like upcoming US release of Guilty of Romance will feature both cuts. Excellent job is that's true
