No sign of udders in the newest episode (shown in the States, anyway.) But instead, we get a boatload of new island stuff. That new hatch under the plane... and the fact that Mr. Eko (yes, the man deserves respect) and Locke seem to be the focus in terms of what happens next is rather interesting.
Finally, we get some momentum to the series. Hopefully, it will continue to the end of this series, which is only a few weeks away.

Kurgan what did you think of the newest UK episode "Orientation" (Episode 3)? I thought it was very good.
Maybe all the islanders are part of the "experiment" as well as Desmond.
Michelle Rodtiguez a villian?
If you add the "numbers" together you get 108, the number of minutes the counter counts down.

Season 2, episode 21 is good stuff. :thumbleft:
Why couldn't the writers have been giving us this kind of LOST all season long?

Because they know they have a limited amount of story, and are trying to make something that could've been done in 2-3 seasons last 4-5. That's my guess anyways.
It's not to say that we're not interested in the back story of the characters; it's just that they weren't spaced out well enough to keep the pace of the season up.
When the show's good, it's very good

Stretch it as thin as possible to keep 'em watching as long as possible.
Big stinking difference between American TV and British TV.

But you've also got great series like Spaced, Fawlty Towers, Black Books, Blackadder, and others that don't drag on for years and years just because they'd get richer doing it.

Haven't seen Only Fools and Horses, so can't comment. I do agree that Blackadder, Back and Forth, was quite awful, though.

I didn't mind Back and Forth too much. Granted not up to the levels of the fourth series, but...

Another one of those programmes you have to see (if you've not done so already) is Father Ted. If you're a fan of those programmes above, you'll love this.

Fair comment. I was trying not to disparage US TV, as there are some shows that are very good, but I can't think of a show that got stopped after a few seasons without the reason for doing so being poor ratings. I'm sure that there's something out there that fits the bill, but I can't think of one.the68monkey wrote:But you've also got great series like Spaced, Fawlty Towers, Black Books, Blackadder, and others that don't drag on for years and years just because they'd get richer doing it.

Sorry about the delay... well, that was a very good episode, as you got some of the information you've been craving for, but I know a bit more and telling you would mean that you'd want to kill megrim_tales wrote:Kurgan what did you think of the newest UK episode "Orientation" (Episode 3)? Lost S2 Episode 4 (?) "Everybody Hates Hugo" - 4/5
Not many thrills here, but a good character episode for Hurley, he makes me laugh
I liked the dream sequence bit:
Jin (in English): Everything's going to change.
Hurley: Dude, you speak English?
Jin: No, you're speaking Korean.
Hurley (in Korean): What?
Episode 5 ..... And Found - 3.5/5
Again more of a filler epiosde, I did like Mr. Ecko though, Sawyers and Jin's capturers must be fellow survicors from the back of the plane rather than the dreaded "Others" I think

You know, I have watched Father Ted, and I'm sorry to say that it just didn't strike my funny bone the way I'd hoped.Kurgan wrote:Another one of those programmes you have to see (if you've not done so already) is Father Ted. If you're a fan of those programmes above, you'll love this.
