I knew he was re-elected in 2006, but as Sam said I dont know if the 4 year rule applies to Governors. I thought maybe he'd stepped down in 2008 or something.

If he retires :D he may want to go elsewhere to be a powermonger :D Personally everything I have read about him compared to past rulers of that place, he has done a damn good job! either he is really clever, or he has very clever people advising him :D or a bit of both.

Since when would a lousy script be a reason for Kurt Russl to turn down a movie!?

Nooooooooo!!! Kurt Russell is one of my favourite actors. He NEEDS to be in this movie. Maybe he's since fired his agent and phoned Sly begging him to reconsider.

You have not read much about this film have you :D

There is NO finished or close to final script, they are making it up as they go along according to Stallone, thats why many have turned it down.

Even Van Damme said he turned it down for that reason, and he accepts any old shit.

I can see where people are coming from turning down a film with no finale, no real plotline or charecters yet. It could be a total piece of crap and egos may clash on set if they disagree and re-write on set like morons.

You're correct. I rarely have much interest in such action films until I can at least see a trailer.

"Sly was bleeding and bruised but after watching the last take he turned around and said “that’s how you teach the children.” Then he set up the next shot while the medics tried to stop the bleeding and clean the dirt and stones out of his arm."

Rambo 5 to follow this :)

John Rambo's officially readying for a fifth mission.

Nu Image/Millennium Films has greenlit the franchise's fifth installment, with Sylvester Stallone starring and directing, repeating his duties from 2008's "Rambo."

The upcoming project's storyline revolves around Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border. Production will start in the spring.

The film will be produced by Avi Lerner, Kevin King Templeton and John Thompson. Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short and Boaz Davidson will exec produce.

Stallone had indicated in interviews that a fifth Rambo was in the works. He teamed with Nu Image/Millennium on the 2008 project, which grossed $42 million domestically and $113 million overseas.

Nu Image/Millennium is in post-production on "Expendables," starring Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke. The actioner's set for release on April 23 through Lionsgate.

Wasn't that the original storyline for Rambo 4 before Sly decided he wanted something completely different?
