Really?

Not that I'm interested in DVDs much any more, the odd title that isn't likely to get a BD release any time soon but otherwise I'm not really interested.

I'd rate Matsui above Woolworths kit, besides Dixons also sell quality too.

My first widescreen CRT was Matsui and the only bad thing about it was that the sides of the picture kind of warped on bright scenes, but I believe that is a common problem with widescreen CRTs. It certainly did its job for a cheap first widescreen whilst I was still at school, and it still works fine after all these years :) (although I'm now using an HDTV).

Over the weekend saw:

Taken (3.5/5)
Great special forces/revenge flick starring Liam Neeson doing his fucked-up dark face, ala Darkman. Some dark shit this one by the same writing team who did Kiss of the Dragon. A little rough round the edges but great fun with a beer and a few mates. Pierre Morel doing some good here in the Director seat, will look out for more of his stuff from the Besson camp.

Wanted (3/5)
Not one good thing about this flick to mention in this review, was OK just didn't like it.

There's only a half star between a "great" film and one you didn't like?

I'll give them that. I bought SD Indy 4 2 discer for £9.90. :)
