That's only because it's all he's really done. I'd say he's charismatic for sure and when he does act he does a respectable job.

My personal feeling is well but he's not CYF in the acting stakes. He's not had enough practise.

Li is a decent actor but I have strong reservations about whether he has the ability to carry a (good) film when he isnt performing any action in it.

As for his kung fu skills, i think there are many actors from old school kung fu films who could smoke him. Phillip Ko being a good example of one of them.

I personally wish he'd come along way before or way after the stinking, new wave action period.

Fearless DC comes to R1:

Disc 1: New DC DVD
Disc 2: Existing R1 including Western TC (known as the Unrated Cut in America) + the USA PG-13 Cut

The Director's Cut HK DVD has:

1. Much better cover art
2. DTS ES
3. The same extras as found on Disc 2 here

In short, for most Bullets members this new DVD is pointless.

Universal's transfer might be better though and for me that would beat a slightly punchier audio mix.

I don't give a rat's arse about extras on a HK DVD anyway, they're normally rubbish.

Either way I'd buy neither release, when it comes to blockbusters such as Fearless, DVD is dead to me.

Universal's transfer maybe better but TBH the HK DVD already looks excellent. Going by Tom's excellent comparisons they all look as good as each other.

Given that Universal are almost having to start again it will be ages before we see a Fearless DC BD.

Hardly, since it also contains the international cut, for those who would like the option of both versions without having to own two seperate releases.

Well, yes there is that too. I'd imagine you can pick up the UK DVD + the HK DC DVD for roughly the same price though. I know I'd prefer owning 2 discs if it meant one of them had DTS too, you are in the minority (for collectors) wanting to only ever own one disc of a film.

I did also say most "Bullets" members, most of us already own Fearless.

Yup it sucks they may re-release it on Blu Ray but longer etc.. I aint seen the longer cut, so its a pain in the arse.

The final scene is really lovely, the strings draw a tear

. At that bit (after watching the whole film), my damn brother phoned and ruined the mood.

Anyhoo, the only advantage this Universal DVD may contain is better subtitles.
