Lost - Season 4 - Episode 2 - 4.5/5
Now what the hell? Who could Ben's man on the freighter be whom he has all the information about the new characters from? Could it possibly be Michael whom he let "escape" with a little boat at the end of season 2? Because I have heard that Harold Perrineau (Michael) had signed to play the character again in this season. And if he isn't gonna appear in a flashback/flash forward, then I'm pretty sure he is Ben's man on the boat. Because Ben might have made him believe that by following his order he wouldn't kill his friends (Jack, Kate and Hurley).

I think it might be him, LD. And yes, he is returning.

By the way, we should be getting up to 6 more episodes this season (on top of the 8 we currently have), because the writers' strike has ended and production of LOST has been put back into action. Good news. Still a shame that we're not getting the 16 episodes originally intended.

Wait... only 6 more episodes? So this season will feature only 14 episodes? LOL, what a joke! We will have to wait until next February for the show to continue then?

So how did the strike end by the way? Did the writers get what they asked for?

Well until the strike ended, we were only getting 8 episodes this season, so don't complain! Haha.

I'm not sure, but I think the writers did get their way, yeah.

I believe they're still negotiating but I heard a compromise has been met so they got part of what they wanted.

So Series 4 is being split in two by a year? That really piss me off if I was following it.

New plan.

We are now only getting 7 episodes in this run, then we're having a 6-week break, followed by 6 more episodes. (They're making 5 episodes now that the strike is over). Episode 8 is going to work better as a mini-premiere, than a mini-finale, apparently, so that's why it's being held over.

I'm not happy that they're going to mash the story of 8 episodes into 5 (we're having a 13 episode season instead of the originally planned 16), but a lot of people will be happy with that I'm sure.

For those of you who don't read TheDVDForums, there's a link to a blog that gives the most credible and interesting theory to date on the premise of the show. Do NOT read the blog linked if you don't want the mystery of the show entirely removed for you! If this theory isn't correct, then it's still far more interesting and thought-provoking than what the writers can come up with. :P

Nice site, Bobbi, but the theory is way too far fetched for an average Joe TV series. I don't believe that even half of the millions of people watching "Lost" have the slightest clue about most of the topics that are being talked about on that blog. If you want real spoilers I recommend you another blog, because the guy there has his sources from people working on "Lost" and all his spoilers have proven to be correct so far.

Lost - Season 4 - Episode 3 - 4/5
Sayid in Germany? Nice one. Elsa's German is quite good, but they should have given the role to a German actress rather than a Dutch one. Oh, and there are spelling mistakes on the menu. :D
Overall, a good episode.

The actress who played Elsa was quite good in the Showtime series Sleeper Cell. Nanny by day, terrorist by night. :D Sleeper Cell was really, really good, almost on par with The Wire, in terms of writing. I know there's a season 2, but I never could bring myself to watch it. Season 1 had such a complete story arc that I had a nagging feeling I'd be disappointed by the new direction. Might go back and watch it sometime this summer, though, when nothing else is on.

I'm currently running out of TV series. Lost is only weekly and soon there is gonna be a 5 weeks break. I only have 11 or 12 further episodes of "Sopranos" to watch until I finished watching this series. I stopped watching "Heroes" after episode 3 of season 2 as it is really boring. The same goes for season 6 of "24" which I stopped watching after epsisode 13. "Lost" and "Sopranos" are the only TV series I am still very interested in. You know, like you can't wait getting home to watch a new episode etc. that usually come with storylines so strong that you even spend time thinking about them when at university or with your fiancé.

Guess I'll have to start with "Battlestar Galactica". I'm only turned off by the fact that I have to watch that 3 hours pilot first.

If you haven't watched The Wire, you should watch it instead of BSG. It is the best TV I have EVER watched, bar none.

I don't know, but here are some ramblings I posted elsewhere:

I've wondered the same thing, too. The episode starts with Locke cooking up the last eggs for Ben, but then smashing them against the wall after he grabs back the tray. Wasted. Then Locke goes and kills the chicken (not sure if it was the last one :( ). No eggs in Eggtown.

The Locke group is taking residence in the ghost town of the Others' complex.

Locke seems to be "cracking" in this episode, from his frustration at not being able to find guidance from Jacob. :p

I'm just rambling with my thoughts here, but one thing that keeps coming to mind is the old "What came first, the chicken or the egg?" debate. No references to this in the show, but does seem to play along with this crazy time lapse theory we're speculating over, as well as the strange reverence the Others have for Locke. If Locke is looking for Jacob, and Jacob looks a lot like Locke, who came first? Jacob or Locke?

Then again, maybe I'm spending a bit too much time pondering this on the drive to work. :dork:

Nice theory about the eggs.

Jacob looks a lot like Locke? Did we ever see Jacob? Even if he was the guy in the chair, we could barely see him.
