Yes. As you like to boast about being God of this game, why not act like one? A good warning like "shut it or you'll get 3 points deducted" should do it. That way nobody gets points deducted, the person bitching storms off in a huff, everyone gets on with the game - happy days.

But I don't give a shit because as Shingster says, they all get shot down anyway.

It's a fun thread so let's keep it that way. Look forward to the next game.

I don't mind losing it's just that all those KR/JP caps spoilt the game for me as I had no chance. The caps I was posting in comparison were too easy and often guessed first time out. So no mainstream films from me next game.

Only got yourself to blame for that, besides every person playing the game struggle with grabs from a certain nation/continent.

In light of Mark's comments maybe we should introduce a rule against persistent posting of grabs from truly obscure films? Say 3points deducted and the cancellation of the round (with a new grab posted by someone else)?

hey,

it's not like some of those Japanese and Korean grabs are totally obscure films? Don't fiddle around with the rules too much more. Just play the game and if someone wants to make it harder for the sake of making it harder, so be it. Post a close-up shot of a dirt road for all I care!

Mark won't be in charge of every round.

Other than HungFist's dabble into the realms of 60's/70's Japanese exploitation early on in the last game, then no, I can't think of any really obscure Japanese/Korean films being posted. This may seem a bit sharp, but just because you and Mark have a woeful knowledge of these industries doesn't mean their films aren't well known and enjoyed by the majority of the Asian film fans in communities such as these.

But that's all besides the point, i'm talking about persistent posting of nothing but extremely obscure titles that almost everyone on these boards have never heard of. This is supposed to be a fun, light game that is there for every poster to enjoy, but when someone who is a genuine expert on HK cinema essentially says "I'm gonna make sure all my grabs are hard as fuck" then that is imo an extremely sour attitude to take and spoils the spirit of the game.

This shouldn't alter the way you play the game Ken, you've always demonstrated a certain level of self control in choosing just how obscure you go with the CAT III films, and there's nothing wrong with making the grabs hard as fuck every other round you win. It's the persistent posting we need to safeguard against, as it will kill the game flat.

But how do you quantify/judge this ?
Too difficult, too subjective.

Either way, what you're doing is called "complaining". Don't start season 4 with a below-zero score, please.

We've only got ~15 players in this game.
Let's trust that they will instinctively do the right thing.
