I'd recommend waiting for a proper HK edition for the time being.

Thanks Tom for putting me right, I didn't realise there was such strict etiquette here.

Yup, I too will be waiting for the HK edition. Interestingly though, the Mainland edit on this disc is shorter by over 10 mins due to censorship, and sports an alternate ending of sorts with an apparently more sanitised feel.

Nah, it's got nothing to do with etiquette.
But I think it's better to have one thread per film.

It saves a lot of trouble when you're searching the forum for information, that's all.

AFAIK:
Sha, Po and Lang are the names of three stars.
These stars have the power to change your destiny.
They can either create or destroy your world.

(don't ask me where I read it, I don't remember).

It could also be a pun.
"Sha" means kill.
"Po" is Sammo's character.

So this is worth getting then ?

Unless HKL want to buy the rights, I'd say that the HK DVD is the best you'll ever get.

There are 2 chinese DVDs. One is cut and the other is "less cut".

Having seen both cuts side by side, I say: forget about the mainland editions, go for the Deltamac.

The chinese disc is cut I believe (and/or perhaps has another ending or something).

I wouldn't say that. Both Momentum Asia and Optimum Asia are doing a decent enough job with:

Anamorphic, maybe not outstanding but decent
DD5.1
Limited Extras
And in the case of Momentum Asia DTS

Momentum Asia's "Born to Fight" is perfectly respectful.

I'd say extras makes it better than the HK DVD (presuming of course) or does the HK DVD have English subtitled extras?
