And what kind of dope are they selling you in that area you live in?bradavon wrote:To use your point Stallone was a co-star in Copland
Bowfinger was funny as hell. Laughed my ass off, because I know what it is like to make your first film. Most people seem to think he's funny in "Bowfinger" for it to count, but even then that was 9 years ago.

No he wasn't.bradavon wrote:To use your point Stallone was a co-star in Copland![]()
I cannot say I've ever heard of Nighthawks before.
I pity the fool who doesn't love Rocky III. 8)The Rocky films don't do it for me, they never have.
Actually Murphy WAS funny in Bowfinger - but only when playing the egotistical movie star and the movie as a whole wasn't as good as it could've been. Most people seem to think he's funny in "Bowfinger" for it to count, but even then that was 9 years ago.

As I said, he did use them all in COBRA. The Cobra script is actually Stallone's Beverly Hills Cop script sightly rewritten.Markgway wrote:You don't know that.bradavon wrote:Probably but what we got is so much better.
The only reason Stallone passed is because Paramount pulled the plug on his budget; he'd written several BIG action scenes. We could've been talking about one of the 80s action greats.

Have you seen Dreamgirls? If you "honestly" have then fair enough. His part is big enough to not say it's an Eddie Murphy film but big enough to show he still has it, if most of the time he chooses not to use it. He is brilliant in Dreamgirls, as are most other actors.romerojpg wrote:Edy Murphoid films just are poor, fond memories when your a kid, but most are just crap now. He makes pure shit now.
Personally I don't consider BHC1 or BHC2 just fond memories from my childhood (they're both 18s for starters, my parents were strict about that) and still love them.
Trading Places and Coming to America are also decent too, especially Trading Places. I'm not sure I'd buy them though. I've never seen The Distinguished Gentleman.
Stallone has now done Rocky and Rambo to death, does he have the talent to give us another decent film? He did, but today I'm not so sure.romerojpg wrote:He should stick to banging spice girls and leave the films to Stallone, who is 10 times the star Murphoid is.

They're both (uncut) '15's and always have been.bradavon wrote:Personally I don't consider BHC1 or BHC2 just fond memories from my childhood (they're both 18s for starters, my parents were strict about that) and still love them.
One of his best. Eddie was made for political satire.I've never seen The Distinguished Gentleman.
I'm still waiting for Cliffhanger 2.............Stallone has now done Rocky and Rambo to death, does he have the talent to give us another decent film? He did, but today I'm not so sure.
