Not really. The DVD audio quality is atrocious. No one would choice to listen to it, if they were able to listen to it properly.

Give up a few scenes live happily ever after with the French dvd; ok video, remastered audio and no burnt in subs.

It's ab easy choice if you compare to redux: FR look better and sounds better. Cut wise it's a draw as although it's shorter, the redux is still missing scenes, plus comes with some stupid new inserts.

One problem: No English subs period :D. Fair enough you don't mind but I've no interest in creating my own DVD.

Besides I expect Redux to get a BD release.

Will be interesting to see how Redux looks on BD, I have to admit that.

There isn't a tremendous amount of appeal in the hard core AoT fan in the "international" edit of the film. What fans ultimately want is the longer cut in decent condition. Failing that, the new Redux isn't such a bitter pill to swallow in comparison to the French DVD.

Strong as in almost 5 and weak as in not far from 4.

Or, orig cut is better than int cut despite the rating being the same.

Hahaha, so therefore they shouldn't have the same rating then should they ;)

You have to remember Gasteropod, Hung's ratings only make sense to him. Everyone else, they make no sense whatsoever :D.

Brad's sense of humour I know but I'm still not 100% sure if gasteropod was joking or actually serious...
