Well, just finished Season 2 on DVD, but don't have access to Season 3. :crybaby:
If they do a season 3.0 and 3.5 on DVD like they did last year, I'll be a sucker and spend the money to buy both sets. I WANT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!!

The ending of Season 2? Well, I think
If the humans were that quick to forget about the Cylons, eager to put their feet on solid ground, maybe they do deserve to die for their stupidity!
j/k
Kara's hair grows remarkably fast, I must say! And I am really eager to find out what happened to cause a rift between her and Lee. I really don't think Lee and Dee belong together, mostly because I can't take the cuteness of their rhyming names.
There's probably a season 2 thread on here, but I'm too lazy to look for it right now. Just briefly, I'll say that I thought two episodes in the middle of Season 2 should have been cut and replaced with different material: "Black Market" was just really, really bad, I thought. The story came out of nowhere, and the flashbacks were horribly melodramatic. The next episode, "Scar," was only slightly better. I was quite pleased to see Kat nowhere in sight at the end of season 2, and certainly hope she doesn't make an appearance in season 3, unless it is to have her head blasted off by a Cylon.
The concluding eps to season 2 were quite good, with us seeing just how similar Gaius and Caprica Six have been behaving. I like that plot twist with her and Sharon Eight. I hope there's some interaction between the two in season 3, as I also hope we get to see some interaction between the two main number Eights. And what a delight to see Dean Stockwell at the end of season 2! I LOVED Quantum Leap when I was a kid, so was great fun for him to make an appearance.
Also curious to see how the mini-toaster plot plays out.
There's bound to be a big story brewing there. . . .

In of itself, I thought 'Black Market' was OK. You're right in terms of its context within the season as a whole though; it does come a little out of leftfield. But, I'll watch most things involving the great Bill Duke
Let's just say that most of the things that you wish for are dealt with; you'll particularly enjoy an episode called 'Unfinished Business'
I loved Quantum Leap too; I always wanted one of those PDA things he'd smack about when it wouldn't work properly

I'm wondering if in season 3, the plot will return to the search for Earth? And if so, curious to see how Laura Roslin will be seen by the people since she is no longer a dying prophet.
edit: Why aren't any spoiler tags working?!?

'Nother good ep, though one could accuse it of being filler, in that it didn't deal with the larger story. But I won't hold that against it.
Nice to see the return of imaginary Baltar, too. And it's also good to see someone noticing that Six was acting all weird
And the scene between Helo and Tigh. Class

We're moving into that territory that the second season seemingly suffered... from (bugger, I couldn't keep that going
) whereby the forward momentum of the overall story is put on hold for some 'characterisation' stories is the euphemism I'll (and I bet the producers) use. It's not to say that the episode was bad, but just nothing changes. I guess there wasn't enough of Tricia or Grace to keep my mind otherwise occupied...

Well, I seem to be doing a Bisc (that's doing a Bisc, not doing Bisc
) and talking to myself in this thread, but, what the hell.
Similar to last week's episode, in that nothing changes. More of a philosophical meandering. I liked that the episode also showed Baltar's seditious material having an impact, which sets up a few possibilities in the future.
AND Baltar speaks Yorkshire!

Is there really only me watching (as obviously there's only me commenting on the show
)? If it is, then shame on you for missing the show!
The season seems to be wrapping up with the trial of Gaius Baltar, which has made from some great moments. A lot of science fiction is used as a mirror to what's happening in the here and now, and BSG is no exception. Very well written episode.

Hey Kurgan, I have to say that I have not been impressed by this third season of BSG. I loved the show from the very beginning but somewhere along the way the show has really got lost. Failing to deliver decent stories on top of characters that I couldn't care less about anymore, I find the show particularly mediocre. On the surface the show looks exactly the same with the same style, quality acting and excellent CGI. However it's a shadow of the show it once was in my honest opinion.

If only season three of Battlestar Galactica was the year of hell and could reset as if it never happened. That's one of the things I hated about Star Trek was how everything reset but I would kill for it to happen to BSG back to a pre-new Caprica!EvaUnit02 wrote:They must be sick of the self-contained episodes that are nothing more than political or social commentaries. Personally I like them.
The same thing happened to Voyager, except Voyager sucked from Day one and the only two episodes that were worth two shits are Year of Hell Pt. 1&2.
I have to admit I am sick of this self-contained political/social commentary episodes. I personally think Ronald D Moore and his fellow writers forgotten the key thing in that the show is supposed to be entertainment. I don't mind political Stuff as long as you still have a science-fiction part, a sense of wonder and entertainment...a few laughs wouldn't harm it either liek in s1/s2. I don't want to watch a show that basically mirrors what's going on in America and Iraq. BSG is about as subtle as a sledgehammer. I can watch that on the news any day.
Hopefully this 4th season will be the last, although that's not certain yet, then they can concentrate on the main story which should make the show much better. I also think they need to work on their characters because they have made them so distasteful and unlikeable (to me) i wasn't bothered in the slightest when Starbuck died... Although she's back now. anyone have any thoughts on her return? Think she's a Cylon? I don't. Neither are Tory, Tigh, Anders or chief Tyrrell in my opinion any way.

Battlestar Galactica: Razor - 3/5
A television film providing background to the 2nd season of the series. It shows what happened to the Pegasus, through the eyes of one character (the said 'Razor' in the film's title). The character's growth was shaped by Admiral Kain's inhumane/non-moralistic decisions and she is haunted by a certain event.
A good plot coupled with good performances makes Razor a welcome addition to the BSG saga.
Anyway there's also cameo appearances by old school cylon centurions and raiders.
