I hope the French subs arent forced on the English version. Also in the thread its mentioned a different transfer will be used for the French BD (Dressed to Kill) - hmmm.

Dressed to Kill French review:

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Dressed-t ... 78/#Review

Looks a very good package and the disc seems English friendly apart from a short introduction by a writer that shows before the film.

The Muppet Movie, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Die Hard: 25th Anniversary set on BD/HD next year:

http://www.digitalbits.com/date/2012/12?catid=17 :)

It would be cool if Roger Rabbit could be restored and completely uncut (minus MPAA edits).

"Also, we've hard back from 20th Century Fox about that Die Hard: 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray box set due on 1/29. It will include the theatrical cut of Live Free or Die Hard only. A LOT of your have been hoping for the unrated cut on Blu-ray and rest assured we've let Fox know this."

Really, Fox? You're still gonna deny us the option of owning the unrated cut on BD? Muppets!

"They've officially set the recently-remastered The Terminator for Blu-ray release on 2/19, complete with 5.1 DTS-HD MA audio. It IS the confirmed remaster."

Fingers crossed the US edition contains the original mono.

No sign of Mono in the specs I've seen
Maybe I'm wrong and Fox will include this though.

Me too. If they cant source the mono track then
But as we've seen with Dressed to Kill/Pulsions, mono tracks can turn up in unlikely places. Maybe in Terminator's case its a more complex issue?

Dressed to Kill's mono was thanks to insistance from the French distributor Carlotta.

If MGM/Fox had distributed the French BD I don't think it would have had mono.

BTW. It seems that the mystery second disc in the Goldeneye Steelbook is just a DVD copy. Pointless.

When is the Steelbook released? Goldeneye really doesnt look as good as the other Bond BDs, imo.
I didnt know that about Dressed to Kill BTW, thanks :)
As for Terminator, Cameron apparently approved the 5.1 mix on the BD and says he loves it :? I wouldnt mind so much if the 5.1 mix (I'm referring to the DVD here) didnt arse about with sound effects (eg adding a silencer to Arnie's gun in the bit when he shoots the "wrong" Sarah Connor), it just sounds stupid.

I don't really give a shit what James Cameron thinks about this remix or any other.

Give us the choice.

Tuesday. And despite the DNR it's still miles ahead of any DVD.

I don't agree with him opening up the Titanic and Avatar Blu-rays to 1.78:1 either.

I might get the USA Blu Rays (as they may follow the pattern of the DVDs and have the original soundtracks) - the art they use seems more interesting too (just seen the one for OHMSS):

Cant understand why Amazon themselves wont send it to me :?

The UK editions of the nine previously unreleased titles will probably also offer the original audo tracks as MGM have stopped dropping them from overseas releases.

The artwork is basically the same for both countries.
