I have better things to do that correct some muppets mistakes, of which there will be thousands.
Really? Because you sure as hell spend enough time correcting us about the site on here.

Dead Snow BD 3/5

Derivative Norwegian ! Zombie flick overcomes a fairly low budget and weak acting to become an entertaining if daft time waster.A Movie featuring Nazi Zombies is worth an extra star in my book.

District 9 4/5

This was a nice surprise.Didn't know much about it beforehand but it's one of the year's better efforts, centering around the clearing of Aliens from said District in South Africa.Shot in a faux-documentary style it turns into a cracking actioner by it's climax.Well worth seeing.

Gloria (USA, 1980) – 2,5/5
Excellent action scenes and Bill Conti’s great score improve this gangster granny tale that loses its interest every now and then. Gena Rowlands is techically good at playing a dull character. May appeal to 60+ audiences better.

Braveheart BD 4/5

Mel Gibson's historical epic is excellent stuff even though, like most films in this genre,a little bum-numbingly long.while the blu-ray doesn't dazzle it far outstrips any dvd release of this i've seen.

The DVD Times review raves over the image.

My biggest complaint is that as history it's mostly bollocks.

I don't expect them to estimate every possible word that was ever uttered by Wallace, but Christ on a bike, at least try for some accuracy....

Everyone should, as it rather nice and only a total idiot would say it's nothing but top quality :D only about 100 times better than shitty Gladiators transfer

from dvdtimes review:"What I do consider a problem, however, is an entirely digital problem which afflicts the film’s opening scenes. Until the 22-minute mark, every shot suffers from a degree of blockiness in the vertical domain, as if the image was transferred at a resolution with a height of less than 1080 pixels and then crudely upscaled. It’s actually a fairly minor irritant, all things considered, and a lot of the time it isn’t even noticeable, but it’s there if you look for it. Watching it on a 123” projection setup, I was only actually aware of it in a couple of shots, but when viewing it on my desktop monitor it was a bit more pronounced. Then, at precisely the 22-minute mark, during the bridge between Chapters 3 and 4, the problem disappears completely and never again resurfaces. From then on, it’s reference quality all the way, with only the inevitable optical shots suffering from any degree of reduction in clarity – and even then, they look far more detailed than many entire movies.

If the whole of Braveheart had looked like the final 155 minutes, the disc would undoubtedly have made its way into the highest “tier” of my ranking system. As it is, though, the initial 22 minutes, although still very good, do suffer slightly in terms of overall definition, marring the presentation slightly. If those early scenes were to be ranked separately, they would net an 8/10 (or perhaps a very high 7/10) while the rest of the film would be a 10/10. 22 minutes is only 12% of the total running time"........hmm...thought you liked perfection Romero ;)....When did you go Region A? didn't know Braveheart was out here yet.if you have the region B is it still reframed at the throat cutting scene?

Total idiot as in giving it 1 or 2 star and saying thing's like the discs crap.

I read all his stuff (and pretty much always agree with him), he is one of the best on the net I say. I go to his site and not ussually DVDTIMES mind you :) but overall it's still a bloody amazing transfer.

I have not went Region A, wont be for any time soon. I saw Both Gladiator and Braveheart at a friends house, both American discs :) convinced me to buy one and not buy the other  if I was at home I would have over-anal-lized the discs, so it is good I did not have them at home, as I ruin some films by pausing them all the bloody time.

I don't mind it here but agreed they could at least try. Elizabeth: The Golden Age is very inaccurate in places too.

What really annoyed me was The Patriot. It couldn't be any different from what actually happened.

Given you couldn't even remember the ending of "There Will Be Blood" a film you profess to love and a fairly recent one at that how the fuck you'd have an idea what happened 100s of years ago is beyond me  anyway it's called "cinematic licence"... :!:
