Just received bad news. I found out that a much younger, much blonder, much prettier colleague of mine got a job I had applied for a couple of months ago.
It's official. I'm old.

That's pretty sexist to just assume she got the job cause she's blonder and younger and prettier. Maybe she's more capable or has a better personality?the68monkey wrote:Just received bad news. Thanks for the support.
Better personality? Probably. More experience for the job? Hell no. I've worked with her for a few years. My credentials far outweigh hers by a longshot. My experience outweighs hers. She must have interviewed much better than I did, enough so that they decided on her over a much more qualified me.
I'm mad. I'm ranting. And you suck for putting me down further, Yi.

Part of the lyrics of T (Tasha)'s song "Memories (Smiling Tears)":
YO if I fall two times, I come back on my third
I won't give up, and that's my word
If I fall five times, I come harder on my sixth
Even if I'm knocked back a bit I won't give up
If I'm knocked 7 times, I come back on my eight
7 times and 8 times until my life ends
Well, you get the message.
YO if I fall two times, I come back on my third
I won't give up, and that's my word
If I fall five times, I come harder on my sixth
Even if I'm knocked back a bit I won't give up

7 times and 8 times until my life ends

You only mentioned she was younger and prettier, but didnt specify why YOU would have been a better choice, so I made the comment/joke
That sucks though... knowing you're a better choice, but not getting picked. I had that when I was a striker for my football team. They kept going with the guy who had been there at the club all his life as a 1st choice, while I was scoring at least 1 goal a match when I played in the striker position. The moment I scored 3 goals in 1 half, and the next match I was on the bench again, I realized it was just game over.

From Amazon UK Marketplace seller -
Dumbo: Big Top Edition (R1)
The seller said this was "Used: Like New" (I think) but in fact I got a new/sealed copy. It came with a nice embossed slipcover
From CD WOW -
The Little Mermaid: 2 Disc Platinum Edition (R1)
Arrived only a day after being sent from CD-WOW. Impressive considering the problems theyre having.
That also had the nice foil slipcover. And it was only £5

Not sure what feedback to give the guy, I kind of expected the instructions at least.

Twelve Monkeys R2
End of Days R2
