Some form of cat cancer.
Most cats can easily last 16 or 18 years, but the ones with long/dense fur don't usually live that long.

Did you bring it to the vet for a shot, or did it die in it's sleep?

With my cat, his kidney's were ruined, I guess from occasionally eating a little piece of ham, fish, or a potatoe-chip or something.
The little fella was really hurting in the end, so we had to take him to the vet, and give him a shot. Died in my arms. Poor kitty

Mine was 17-18 years old, and led a good and pretty healthy life, but still... you feel if we had noticed the kidney-problems a little bit sooner it could have possibly been fixed and we would have enjoyed having him around for a few extra years.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost one of your cats, Tom. I lost my 18-year-old Siamese a couple of months ago to kidney failure. My vet recommended I put him down, and it was incredibly difficult for me. I still look for him every day when I get home from work, before I realize he's not with me anymore.

You've had a rough time in the past couple of years, dude. You didn't need to lose a pet, too. Sorry to hear it.

I had the same thing with my cat when he was gone. I would go downstairs to go get him, kinda on auto-pilot, and the realize 'damn...'

When a cat pretty much has slept at your feet for about 18 years, you really miss him when he's gone.

I went bowling today

I played 2 games and scored 87

and 55

- both times without bumpers....

Grim must be taking the piss about the bumpers.if i remember rightly they are the buffers that come up to stop the ball going into the gutter from a wayward bowl and keeps it in the lane.i've only ever saw 10 year olds use them so he has to be taking the piss.

I can get over 100 most of the time or at least thats what I aim for. I'm not that good at bowling as some of you

I came close to 100 the other day. (97).
Sam I'm not taking the piss - why would I?

Nobody used them in our games in the alley I was at. In our first game 1 guy who has been in bowling tourneys only got 39 or so, then 150

I have "used" them other times but can still bowl in a straight line

Guess I better get some practise in.

We go on a works group bowl/piss up 3-4 times a year.i'm not much cop but usually manage between 90-130 a game. these bumper things i've only ever saw kiddies use never adults which is why i assumed Grim was pisstaking

FOR ME, I think close to 100 is good but over 100 is better

I go with a group of adults on a couple of outings.
I see some adults there (some admittedly have kids), the kids use those ramp thingies you roll the ball down AS well as the bumpers and the ultra light kiddie balls
