I just got Zach and Miri make a Porno - Blu Ray, the EIV version. The cover is a low quality Jpeg, with compression like a dire dvd you could not make that sort of shit up. Some dick let it slide thru the quality filter well that and the Anamorphic Widescreen symbol as well

Low quality jpeg hahaha. I know, they used to leave the VHS symbol on their DVD covers didn't they, dumbasses.

Speaking of low quality covers, does anyone here happen to own the R1 DVD of One Missed Call? (Takashi Miike). I got it the other month from a seller on eBay and it looks almost like a pirate copy because the cover is kind of low quality with slightly hard-to-read text on the back. Just curious if they're all like that, I have another Tokyo Shock DVD (Cursed) and that's not like that at all!

I'm no fan of EIV either, but isn't it just possible that their BD of The Mask might actually be good?

One would presume they've justed ported New Line's edition?

They can't ALL be bad (cover art aside) - can they?

Edit: a poster on the AV forums confirms that The Mask is 1080p/24

Rush Hour should have just been a port of the New Line but they somehow neglected to have English subtitles when the characters spoke Chinese

If I'm not mistaken EIV still use regional coding. For those who need to know.

Covers aside, I imagine many of the EIV titles are fine. I'd be unlikely to buy one though. It's a risky affair.

Well The Mask disc content is fine etc.. the image is a little odd looking at times, but hell thats what you get for importing the disc from New Line well worth £3.50 still, as hell the old dvd was a dog.
