I get an e-mail 90% of the time to say I've ordered something and another to say it's shipped.
Whats Romero on about? Of course they'll say pending despatch if they havent been released/despatched yet!

:D ;)

PS Yes Brad I get 2 e-mails too.

No your acctually wrong!
why would they be pending if some are not out for weeks! they dont, as some are on pre orders, there would be no reason for them to be pending as they dont have them. and orders very rarley, if ever go into the blue writing, they just shipout whithout going Blue as I should know I check my list ever day.

Half my orders have just been cancelled and they were all in the Blue wording, so looks like FUCK CDWOW and I am going elsewhere I will spend my cash elsewhere as they havent even got the curtasy to email me and say why, and they havent refunded me yet for the other canceled orders! they now owe me about 40 quid! guess I will have to email them and ask for me cash back, or I guess they may just say your stole it from us you aint getting it.

Its a shame CDWOW have now srated cancelling my orders like some others, in the end it is them who loose out as most cds esspecially are only 1 pound cheaper with 2 vouchers, so I can just get them the same price or pennioes less elsewhere, so in the end they wil loose out on my buying products as I ahve bought 300 items in the last few years thats a lot opf cash I guess they will loose.

Romero I suggest you look up what pending means in the dictionary. The fact it's not due out for weeks doesn't mean it can't be pending dispatch.

Is your e-mail address correct on their system? or maybe it's wrong somewhere deep in their system. You have entered lots of different ones (vouchers). As I ALWAYS get e-mails keeping me up to date. I always also get prompt refunds. I can barely fault CD WOWs customer services!

Pending for cdwow is not the same, the things I have preordered CANNOT possibly be sent out or even pending as they are not even out anywhere yet :)

so I know its bull and they canceled them anyway :( only 3 items left and they will have canceled all my items :(

Me too. First I get a order confirmation e-mail than a despatch one.

More info on CD WOW vouchers can be found here. It contains a slightly different rejection e-mail and is also worth a read:

Why aren't you? FYI:

hi

we are writing to advise that your order has been cancelled and a full refund processed.

unfortunately, due to a minority of people abusing our voucher and discount link system, we have had to implement new procedures and as per our terms & conditions, i’m afraid only one one voucher or promotional discount per person per order is allowed, irrespective of the number of e-mail addresses, card holder addresses or delivery addresses you may possess. having checked your order, it appears that you have used more than one promotional code or voucher.

discount links via a partner / affiliate network are not entitled to use any further voucher or promotional discounts. only one discount (either voucher or promotional) per transaction is allowed.

cd wow! maintain the right to refuse, and refund if relevant, (even following acceptance of an order) any transaction where, in its sole opinion, the customer / transacting party is unauthorised to use multiple discounts.

we realise that the minority have spoiled it for the majority and for that we are truly sorry. as a small company, we have been forced to implement this new system for commercial reasons but this will at least allow us to keep our prices competitive all year round.

if you would like to place an order in the future, kindly use either a voucher or a discount link rather than both.

finally, for the genuine majority of our loyal customers, apologies that we have had to implement such procedures and we hope it will not deter you from shopping with us in the future.

thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Kind Regards, CD WOW!

I don't really understand the e-mail.

It seems to be aimed at "loyal" customers who've had their orders cancelled for using two vouchers. Yet, CD-Wow blame "a minority" for using two vouchers and spoiling it for the rest.

Which category do we fall into? And surely it's either acceptable for everyone to use two vouchers or no one. Regardless of whether they're a majority or minority, loyal or otherwise?

And what exactly is a customer that isn't loyal? A whore?

And Brad, why should I join the DVD Forums?

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me either.

Because you get to read links such as this, see all the bargains and put simply it is one of the most thorough, in-depth DVD forums on the web. With a huge number of members.

Don't get me wrong it has none of the banter this site has, is controlled by the mods to greatly IMO and because of which I don't post often BUT I do find the odd bargain and read the odd decent post making it worth my while.

Sure in itself you could get all this elsewhere but you've signed up to many other forums right?

I took it to read they were writing in the third person.
Markgway wrote:Which category do we fall into?
The minority I presume, which is insulting as it's us minority who go back to CD WOW again and again who make them the most money.

Most of their customers probably only buy a handful of DVDs and/or CDs at the most. I've bought shed loads of goods from CD WOW.

I honestly wouldn't mind if they had bothered to pay for an engine in the first place that was clever enough to work out when two vouchers are being used or only create one type of voucher in the first place. Amazon offer a voucher scheme but they make sure you can only ever use one voucher in the first place.

If i see how many sites worldwide that have the vouchers and links for discount online, i am sure that people who are using them are not a minority, there must be many thousands of people who are doing that. And they have been knowing about it all along because this is what made cd-wow big..But i guess they are now the biggest and now they they had enough of it and want to make more money..

If they keep up their usually cheap prices i will keep buying from them (about 3-5 a week!) and if not (maybe they will start raising the prices also from now on) i will buy them elsewhere.

Got my first (and last) cancellation e-mail today from CD-Wow.

Well looks like the days of two vouchers are truly over.

I guess I'll just be using the one pound off vouchers I have left.

Better than nothing...

It's rare for that to happen though.

Why is it the last Mark?

It's not rare. It's been happening to everyone here. Haven't you been reading this thread??? :D It's the last because the ride is over. I'm not ordering titles on the slim chance that they might not get cancelled. One voucher or link is better than nothing and that's what I'll stick with.

Just remember to try a few cdwows across the world :) you never know they may be a bit cheaper I dont mind paying 6 quid for a Shaw Brothers film as that seems the cheapest I can get them, unless anyone knows cheaper :)

LOL Mark. Of course I've read it. It was me who posted the latest from DVD Forums. I was referring to Romero say the HK DVD site can be cheaper, he's right but it's rare.

Where is the slim chance? Many are still going through? I'm going to try again with 2 vouchers. The worst they will do is cancel me and I'll re-order. I'm only going to try once more and if it gets cancelled so be it.

I've just tried for a second time to use 2 vouchers. If it gets cancelled I won't bother again.

The DVD I want (Clean) is £5.99 with £2 off from the UK site and £6.29 from the HK site so still cheaper than the UK site with one voucher. I've heard they no longer send orders to Europe from the HK store but it's working for Romero so that must be fine.

UPDATES:

3x £1 Off Voucher Code - You'll get an e-mail with 3 codes in.

I may end up not using voucher codes anymore as the voucher link is better (it doesn't show up on your order). I was trying to find a £2 voucher but this is the best I could find.
