You could always eBay it and buy the standard HK DVD:

http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=8466

The R4 looks to be NTSC-PAL.

the bottom seems to have fell out of the dvd market.a few months ago i'd trade dvds in at cex,get a credit note and use it when they get BD's i'm after in.looking at the site now,you get literally pennies. eg office series 1 £1.20 ,wolf creek 2-disc 80p :? and they are exchange prices, cash is even less!

You can always keep them and in 20 years time when your an old man get them out and have a giggle  I have many hundreds of VHS tapes in the loft, been there for 10 years nearly :D not selling them for 1p each, I would rather keep them.

But if I ever need a good bonfire, they will burn for hours :D

I think the bottom fell out awhile ago, most people only want to spend £1-2 on a second hand DVD now. That is a poor price for The Office though. That said as our series are usually so short and The Office is only 2 discs it's considered a standard DVD not a box set.

I don't know

For £5 to £10 a disc and a lifetime to watch it whenever you choose, i call that a real bargain. For me, non-anamorphic and standards conversion are expendable but otherwise I keep everytihing

That said, if you wanna get rid fo any of your German DVDs of kung fu flix, Salty, let me know

it's just a space issue Ivan.a small terraced house wasn't built to house nearly 2000 dvds  i probably exaggerated when i said i wanted to reduce by nearly half but i do need to lose a fair few. i'll give you a shout about the german discs but to be honest i can't see me getting rid of them :)

Oh, so you people aren't just acting like kids. :D
Happy Birthday Gasteropod.

I remember being 22. Long ago... once...
It was a time when the sun didn't burn your skin, when cars were pulled by real horses and when "safe sex" meant giving your date a wrong telephone number.

Treasure it, Gasteropod. The world gets shittier every minute.
Damn I'm depressed.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Happy Birthday. Did you get any nice BDs or is it too risky to let family buy them? I find it is, they always buy the wrong one.
