I've ordered about 100.

I'm surprised IM didn't get an explanation e-mail as I did. It said:

"We are writing to advise that your order has been cancelled and a full refund processed.

As per our Terms & Conditions, only one Voucher or Promotional Discount per person per campaign is allowed, irrespective of the number of e-mail addresses, card holder addresses or delivery addresses you may possess. It appears that you have used more than one promotional code or voucher in this order. Only one discount (either voucher or promotional) per transaction is allowed.

Discount links via a partner / affiliate network are not entitled to use any further voucher or promotional discounts.

CD WOW! maintain the right to refuse, and refund if relevant, (even following acceptance of an order) any transaction where, in its sole opinion, the customer / transacting party is unauthorised to use multiple discounts.

We are a small company and our profit margins are very low, by allowing such orders to be completed our prices will inevitably be forced up.

If you would like to place an order in the future, please do so according to our Terms and Conditions and we will be happy to complete it."

Well that told me :D

Let's not forget this is not new CD WOW have been cancelling order like this for a while now. What makes no sense is:

A. They seem to do it random.
B. Why configure the engine to allow you to use two vouchers if you're not allowed to actually do it? Irrespective of the T&Cs.

I guess we should be lucky. Amazon ban their members for breaking the T&Cs (I believe if you keep doing it but have never risked it).

I'm not to bothered right now but will be if my orders keep getting cancelled. At least they don't mind us using ONE voucher (I used the link type as that's less obvious. The code one clearly shows up on your order).

You're not a member though right (is your paranoid hat still on)? That would explain why. It's odd I agree as they could still send you an e-mail.

I always gets confirmation e-mails, shipping e-mails and the like. It's good as I then know when things are shipping. Maybe that's the key (probably not). If I get another order cancelled I'll try as a non-member.

p.s - When buying as a non-member do you give your e-mail address? If not they can't contact you of course.

No idea what you mean, if I buy a dvd I am then a member, so I should and used to get emails saying tings ship etc..

and CDWOW are far from a small company! they were the UK success story of last year! they made millions! so they are basically lying a lot! they got on the BBC 1 news! you dont get on the news for no reason.

Compared to the likes of Amazon they are small! I'd say it's more of an exaggeration.

p.s - You can place an order without being a member and logging in first. That is what I meant. You don't login first right? So are what they call a guest member.

I have been ordering like this for ages...anyone else have this happened the last few days when ordering as usual....
That's strange. So for the sake of two pounds they lose two orders. Not good business sense. Especially when it's not a rule that applies on every occasion. I got an order yesterday from them that used voucher+ link. No problems. Maybe if you're a regular customer they overlook it? You order much Rico?

I order about 3 a week, and i have ordered over 400 with them now and this is the first time this happened.

And they lost a lot because they cancelled my fighter in the wind order, which is expensive, and now i ordered it somewhere else.

I stil think they are cancelling random, as 1 of my orders from last week was not cancelled...but 2 were..

Honestly I have no idea at all from what you say, if you place an order, you are a member thats all I know, they keep your details on record and that makes you a memer as far as I know.

No Brad is right you dont have to log in as a member to place an order - suppose it was the first time someone had ordered from them? Theyre not a member, and you're not forced to become one, it just helps if you are.

Romero do you login first and therefore when ordering you don't have to re-enter your address? or do you not login first and have to re-enter it each time?

That is what I said and meant.

Try ordering one. CD WOW unlike the likes of Amazon don't seem to ban members etc . . .

I ordered last Saturday but it was only with one voucher (after the order had been cancelled with two).

They say

Pending Despatch in bright blue wording, even thouht the items are not out for weeks :( so I take it they are looking into the voucher situation seeing if they are going to let me off, the last few items they cancelled were pending for about 5 days, then canned :(

I never look at my account history. I wait for the e-mail to tell me, which you don't get. Weird.

I get an e-mail 90% of the time to say I've ordered something and another to say it's shipped.

I also always get the email for confirmation when buying, and when its shipped out..

But sometimes i will check my ordr status online, then u can see sometimes that it is already sent out before u get the email.

the last one that i had in pre-order last/this week was another public enemy, and fortunately they sent that one out :D
