Pretty much every EIV release. The Crow probably being their worst.

Just watched the DD Come Drink With Me - DVD was of pretty good quality, though I'm not a big fan of the movie, it was ok, just a bit too slow (and the fight scenes were a bit naff too
... yes I realise this was made in 1967, and would've been a landmark back then, but today I don't really see why so many people rate it so highly. :p I did grow up on early 90's kung fu movies though.
Same thing with the first One Armed Swordsman actualy.. just too damn slow. Typical problem of movies from that era (Western movies included (60's and 70's)).

actually, it was 1966
Come Drink With Me I think holds up well. One Armed Swordsman is rather pedestrain but has its moments

Come Drink With Me is not too bad, but nowhere near as good as One Armed Swordsman.

They should have made that movie Two Armed Swordsman: twice as good!

Back to the Fist of Legend artwork, it actually doesn't look too bad. However, I am a bit disappointed that they used the same image from the Dimension. But so did the French HKV. I'm sure this isn't the only image of the film in existance.

I guess they wanted something simplistic and stylish, and ended up with something that just looks simplistic.
Cant say I care very much. only thing I care about is the movie uncut and subbed, in decent videoquality. (And no added soundeffects and that kinda dumbass crap. Just mono)

I think you should put that in your signature Yi. You can then just say "refer to my signature", the next time you feel the need to say it

I agree with Ivan. I enjoyed One Armed Swordsman, it was a bit long in places but has some great moments, I gave it 4/5

I think One Armed Swordsman is a very good film in some respects, though the action is rather poor at times - the previous year's Magnificent Trio, from the same people, had much superor fights to OAS and the same year's Trail of Broken Blade

Big fan of The Magnificent Trio here and I agree that Come Drink With Me is superior to One-Armed Swordsman.
Still haven't upgraded to the DD yet.

Come Drink With Me is a great film. Magnificent Trio is one of Chang Cheh's most accomplished works. I hope one day it'll get a proper DVD

That's why it's not such a great movie, although it's superior on some areas (soundtrack for example).

AFAIK neither Magnificent Seven or Fistful of Dollars are cheap.
Last Man Standing is a remake of Yojimbo too.

Fistful Of Dollars was cheap.Eastwood only got the role because the budget wouldn't stretch to Leone getting Fonda or Brosnan in the lead. great movie though.

A Fistful is otherwise great but the storyline makes it a bit boring at times when you know exactly what's going to happen next and which camera angle will be used in the next shot.
