Yeah, I think some parts of the UK version are actually cooler, I like the ending with them running towards the water, and how "Turtle Power" is sung higher.

True to form some of the HK comedy grates rather, but the fights are great!

Who plays Yuen Biao's brother? Interestingly I found Sammo's character kinda similar to the Fan Mei Sheng character in Magnificent Butcher as he was playing a fat beggar sort of character.

24 Season 4 4/5

This is the best fantasy-comedy since Shrek 2. The real-time aspect is now a mockery. They would've been better calling it 48. It didn't feel too original, more like an extension of season 2. Plus how many coincidences and accurate assumptions can they fit into one show? By far the weakest season (I'd rate the first three seasons 5/5, 5/5 and 4.5/5) but this is make-believe after all. It was damn good entertainment and I loved the ending (in a really cheesy kind of way). Be interesting to check out the next season.

I was gutted some questions weren't answered. Can someone help us out? Please do not answer if it will spoil season 5.

In Season 3, why does the main villian want Chappelle dead?

In Season 3, what happened to the main villian in Kosovo that turned him into a nutter?

In Season 4, what happed to Beruz (the wee boy of the Araz family)?

PS: How good was it to not have Kim in this series? Such an annoying character. Like Chloe (except she wasn't too bad this season, found Edgar worse)

They really neglected the time factor, didn't they? Does Chloe live in the basement of the CTU or how does she go home and come back within an episode or so?

Because he was secretly working on a seperate lead which was leading him to Steven Sounders secret bank accounts which he didn't want to be revealed under any circumstance.

Interesting... I got the impression that he had a personal vendetta against Chapelle. Like even Chapelle was clueless as to why Saunders wanted him dead.

Aye. Saunders was in Kosovo in the same mission as Jack, lead by Palmer. But he was left behind. Something happened to him that turned him evil. I want to know what that was.

He was handed over to Habib Marwan. We never see him again... IIRC, he only killed two people. One was the guy sent to kill him by his father (which was self defence). The second was his father (who was a nutter, but that was still wrong of him).

You gotta excuse me, it's been quite some time since I saw season 4. I re-watched the first three seasons recently though so I remember well. As for Beiruz... yeah, that must be a real plothole.

And as for what turned Sounders evil, I guess they just want to show that it doesn't matter. There are sources of evil everywhere out there and people are easily influenced by them.

Intended to watch "Heat After Dark" in anticipation for Tom's next clue in the other thread, but it turned out that the film's running time is only 50 minutes. So I decided to re-watch one of my all-time favourites again. Haven't watched it for maybe 10 years.

Nissian Shift: Exit 5/5

I'm not sure how easy it is to watch this but it's on the 24 Season 4 DVD. Note that it's on the UK R2 and not the US R1. However despite this, dvdcompare still reckon that the US R1 is the winner. HAH! What a joke.

Exit is a short film made by Nissian to promote their products, kinda like what BMW did with the Hire movies. However the real focus is soley on the delicate story of a man and his trek across the desert highway. Along the way, he encounters robbers, a crazy girl and other interesting predicaments. The full nature of this man's epic journey is only revealed right at the very end.

I don't know about you guys but I love short films. It allows directors to tell a story in a concise yet effective manner. There is striking use of photography, capturing harsh desloate landscapes, as well as sincerely heart felt performances. You could really feel this guy's pain, the lead actor's expressions were wonderfully executed. It also has a fantastic yet sombre score.

I would've bought the 24 DVD for this short film alone. Sod the R1 if it's missing this.

PS: This film reminded me of Sekai no Chushin de, ai wo Sakebu.

Damn, watched three movies today. First "Memento", then "Highlander" and then "Memento" again. And let me tell you that it was better the second time around today. Trust me, when you watch it again a few hours later you will notice things you haven't before.

Thinking about checking it out with the scenes in the chronological order, but I doubt that this will enhance my enjoyment of the film even more.

Memento is one of the most genius screenplays in film history. I hate when people accuse this of being overrated when it is most certainly NOT overrated and deserves every bit of credit its gotten.

Star Wars: Clone Wars Vol 1 and 2 - 4/5
Didn't know what to expect from this, but was very surprise. An excellent animation which bridges Episode 2 to 3. The animation is unique and suits the Star Wars series. I've never seen Samurai Jack before, so never seen this style of animation. Now I really want to see it.
The story is very good, however I feel that vol 1 was the more darker at the two. There is a brilliant fight scene where Anakin fights one of the sith trainee. The whole fight scene for this is just excellent.

I couldnt understand why Saunders wanted Chapelle dead either, thanks for the explanation LD

What happened to Mandy (Marwan's hot accomplice) after S4? The ending with her getting immunity (!) after what she did was ludicrous.

Mandy appears in season 1, 2 and 3 so far. Don't know if we'll see her in season 5, yet as I am currently at episode 15. I guess they always want to keep an opportunity for another season.

Where is she in S3? I watched all of S3 on Sky Three recently but didnt spot her. I know she blows up the plane at the start of S1 (she tried to assinate Palmer).

Been a while since I watched this. Still very enjoyable, but a bit over sentimental. Great rapport between all the cast, and does a good job with the "old fashioned screwball comedy" feel to the movie. When will Jackie direct another film?
