Awful cover, but at least NEW included it for purists :).

If I get bored with my 'proper' cover, I'll trade with ya Saltysam  !

You people wouldn't recognize a good cover even if you saw one :x

I like the cover as well, it's arrestingly garish. :D

You're, of course, right, HungFist.

Now can you point to the part of Eastern Condors where the gay Chippendale flexes his oily back muscles to the camera?

I seem to have missed it.

Interesting that when Mark sees a muscular back he immediately hopes it belongs to a gay man! :D

It's one of the rare deleted scenes

Btw, does the german Duel to the Death dvd have anything special about it? I'm in a desperate need to find an excuse to upgrade from my HKL. The limited edition cover art is even better than that of Eastern Condors.

Just a special edition cover that shows Tsui Siu Keung and Damian Lau engaging in topless oil wrestling. You should love it. :D

The HKL is excellent.

All mono soundtracks with original English dub and HKL subtitles I believe :).

HKL is indeed excellent, just the original English dub in mono it's missing. Interestingly, two sets of Chinese credits exist - HKL has one without English, whilst Megastar is bi-lingual (judging by the title cards of them both).

Sometimes the HK video companies superimposed their own English titles, but damned if I remember how Eastern Condors should be. I'd love to see some caps from the NEW disc to see hwo it compares to the others....

I think you might be right as this (http://www.dvdcult.com/images/DTTDt.jpg) capture has a somewhat unconvincing black font placed below, but the background suggested different.

Honestly, credits/title cards shouldn't be influential on ANY purchase. If they are, you seriously need to re-evaluate your priorities.

The 'Eastern Condors' title looks original from that cap. Easier to tell in motion but it looks good so I wouldn't worry about it.

They are when they are the only major differance between one release and the other. For example, if it was Anamorphic english language print vs. non anamorphic chinese print, I'd take the English one. But if both were anamorphic, I'd take the Chinese one

Not really no. Authenticity is the important factor for me - though as a rule, I consider non anamorphics, standards conversions, bad remixes and dvds without subs as redundant

hey,

watched the NEW dvd a few days ago. Excellent stuff. All basics covered and some neat extras and a worthwhile easter egg thrown in there too.
