Nope just Xbox, PS2 and PC. Not that I care, handhelds are waste of time and money IMO.
Haaa, You play Metal Gear Acid, or Ridge Racer, then say that... They are bloody good. :)
I quite like Handhelds, because I can take them with me and if i get bored, then I can play on it. You can also watch movies on the psp.

*Yawn* I'd rather play a REAL Metal Gear like MGS3 or MGS:Twin Snakes rather than some wacky spinoff card game thing. The Ridge Racer series = meh IMO. Gimme Burnout anyday for my arcade racing needs. If I had to play an RR, I'd play RR6 on X360.

I found F.E.A.R to be very impressive for a while, but the further I got into the game, the less interested I became and the end level is terrible. Just a warning.
Pro Evo 5 I've already professed my affection for, and I just don't have time for any MMORPG. I used to play The Matrix Online, but gave it up due to real-life intrusions.

Pro Evo is more addicting then crack, man. I just keep playing and playing.

Also playing Fight Night Round 2 at the moment and it's pretty good fun. doing career-mode with Ali, and it's going ok-ish. just learned how to do wind-up hay-makers, so that helps.

Should be able to play Unreal Tournament 2 on Xbox this weekend, and hopefully against my girlfriend.
I really REALLy want a few weeks of absolutely NOTHING to do, though, so I can pick up some adventure games again like the newly downloaded Grim Fandango, as well as my Xbox adventures Jade Empire and Star Wars KOTOR.
Hell, Maybe I even want to pick up fable again. (kinda lost interest in it somewhere)

Gawd... and I also havent finished Zelda Windwaker yet. Damn...

Day Of The Tentacle, Sam And Max Hit The Road, Monkey Island (as a series), Full Throttle, Grim Fandango all classic LucasArts games. Loved playing them when I did, and I'm kinda glad I did, cos I just don't have the time any more.
Psychonauts interests me purely because Tim Schafer's behind it and he's partially responsible for some of the above.

Yi-Long, you gotta get to work man; there's lots of gaming to be done! :)

Hey,
I'd like to try Windwaker.. I think its been in the GC Players Choice line £17.99 or less) for ages now.
Gotta complete Mario Sunshine and all my other games first, Sunshine was fun but it just didnt "feel" like a Mario game with that stupid water pack thing :?

Errr I played WindWaker, and haven't completed it yet. The only game i have completed on the Gamecube is Resident Evil Remake - Bloody cool, and Metal Gear Solid Twin Snake (again bloody cool)

Should start playing Zelda again..

Haven't played Killer 7 yet, wonder what that like

Killer 7 is great. (Very) simple to control, and a mind-fuck to boot.
Amazing visuals, that go beyond merely being "Oooh, that looks nice". Some of the best music ever in a game, and a very different game to what you may originally expect.
I actually think that it simplifies the game to what's important; strips away the whole run-around for ages trying to find one tiny little object, and let's you get on with the action.
I enjoyed it a lot.

RE1-GC is amazing, RE0 is very good as well. MGS-TS is great. Loved going back to see how things had changed.

I have REmake and RE0 for GC, I have bothered to complete either yet though.

I would've gotten RE2&3 if they had done full-blown remakes of them. I've never played them and don't think I want to, the badly dated graphics are eye sores.

MGS: Twin Snakes is fantastic. I tried playing my PS1 copy afterwards but bare it, not because of the graphics but because the MGS2 gameplay elements were missing. Come on, the guards would've go into alert the moment they'd see you. The newly recorded voices of TTS were a big improvement over the original's. The acting was much better and Mei-Ling lost her dumb unrealistic accent (she was supposed to be born and raised in the States).

It sucked how they didn't bother with Russian accents in MGS3, them all speaking with yank accents is weird.

I liked the original version of MGS better. I mean the new action scenes by Kitamura in Twin Snakes were nice to look at, but kinda took the realism away (that's if we can speak of any realism here, lol).
I very much prefer the old voice-actings. Maybe just because I'm used to them now.

"Metal Gear Solid 2" was kinda cool, but storywise, I enjoyed part 1 more. And also, the fact that you play gay Raiden was a really shitty thing to do from Kojima. In all the trailers you saw videos of Snake sneaking around. But after the tanker stage it's all over. That's why I loved the teaser for part 3 (or was it 4) where Snake and Raiden fight and Raiden is thrown down into a hole. Har har har!

"Metal Gear Solid 3" is the greatest game I have ever played on PS2. I'll buy PS3 just for MGS4. Man, have you seen the screenshots on the web? You play Solid Snake as an old man. Really top stuff.

"Metal Gear Ac!d" was kind of a let-down to me. I expected more to be honest. Don't get me wrong, it's not because of the card system. That's a very interesting idea in my opinion. It's just the fact, that there is a lot of: GO TO COMPUTER 1 TO OPEN DOOR FOR CHARACTER 2. Bla bla bla!

As for the current status of my PSP.

GAMES:

Tales of Eternia - Currently playing this and it is mind-blowing. I love real-time RPGs and this one has a really cool storyline as well.

Burnout Legends - Great racing game. Anybody who likes any of the "Burnout"-games will love this one. Wonderful music as well.

Need for Speed Underground Rivals - So and so. Really rudiculous graphics full of pixels. Only bought it, because I was offered it for only €10.

Archer Maclean's Mercury - Really great idea for a strategy/puzzle game. It's like "Marble Madness", just that you move the board and that a mercury drop moves. You have to change its colours in order to get through certain doors or you'll have to split the drop into two (or three or four or even five), so you can get through multiple doors simultaneously or so.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have a lot of replay value which is why I have put this on sale after I beat it.

Ridge Racer - Fucking brilliant. Drifting has never been so much fun. The only drawbacks of the game are that the music is kinda stupid and that the cars do not look as if they were driving at the speed shown by the speedometer.

LD: Are you going to buy the new version (director's cut) of MGS3 for PS2 now that it's out? (Just got a 9.8 at IGN.com I believe)

I've been playing Fight Night round 2 and Pro Evo the last couple of days. I wanna play the more serious game but limited time only allows me short gaming sessions. It would be nice if we'd get a 2 meter snow falling here, so we cant go anywhere for a week orso...

Haha, you thought the cutscenes in the original were realistic? They were far from it. Eg while Snake is talking to the Armstech president and then suddenly Ocelot fires his revolver Snake does this super-human leap and dodges the bullet.
"Metal Gear Solid 2" was kinda cool, but storywise, I enjoyed part 1 more.
The story of MGS2 was a convolted mess. The gameplay was fucking fantastic though and that's why I loved it.

Everybody hated that faggot Raiden. I spent most of my time replaying the Tanker stage.
I'll buy PS3 just for MGS4. Man, have you seen the screenshots on the web? You play Solid Snake as an old man. Really top stuff.
Of course I've seen the screenshots, they look sweet. I look forward to the game.

Eww, that's pan&scanned. I hope that you didn't pay much money for it. I suspect that you prolly got it for free though (part of the promotion when you bought your machine), which is all cool.

All MGS fans must check this out:

It is the teaser for "Metal Gear Solid: Digital Comic" (working title) which will be released for PSP.

You mean Subsistence, I'll buy it. I held off buying the original version (Snake Eater) cuz the camera sucked for outdoor areas. The new togglable 3rd person camera will be great.

It must really be awesome, but I'm not paying the full price of a new game only for a new camera angle and for some online stuff, as I ain't playing online anyway.

As I'm sure I've said before, I'll be getting MGS3: Subsistence. I didn't mind Raiden, nor the story in the second game, nor did I mind the camera in MGS3, so I guess I'm in the minority here :)

I think replaying MGS2 a couple times with a cleared save give both Snake and Raiden sunglasses. Raiden gets these square-framed ones with orange lenses. Now unlock the brown wig for the plant chapter. Equip the brown wig and now Raiden looks like Elton John!

Coincidence? I think not!

Raiden is gay. That's not a joke, he really is and is intended to be by Kojima or his team. Hidden fun sequences in MGS3 proof this (when Raiden kisses Ocelot).

Metal Gear Solid 1 on the PSX was great, and one things that the Gamecube remake was terrible was they didn't include Mei-Ling or Sniper Wolf accents. I think this was a terrible mistake. The cut scenes was great, brilliant in fact.
Metal Gear Solid 2 Subsistence was also really good, but not as great as the first one. If you played Snake all the time, then it would have been much better. I have played them both on the PC, which is my preferred version.

Haven't played number 3 yet, will do so when MGS3:Subsistence comes out.

To all Half-Life 2 lovers:

http://www.hlcomic.com/index.php?date=2005-05-01

This is a very funny (IMHO) comic about the life and death of a Gordon FROHMAN.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Has anyone seen this game called Odama? Looks interesting, I like pinball games :)

The Japanese cover art looks far cooler than the UK/European art.

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-4l- ... -1983.html

UK art:

http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pa=sear ... 36&Go.y=13

Also wondering whether to pick one of these up:

Zelda: Wind waker (£17.99)
Spartan Total Warrior (£12.99)
for the Cube :)
