The Devil's Backbone
Meia Noite
Rabbit Proof Fence
Walkabout
I'm Not Scared
The Crime of Father Amaro
all = no
Here's a clue:
I'd thought there was a good chance Tom had seen this one, since it's in his native language.

Right language; wrong film.
Also, the film in question is about 3 years older than City of Lost Children.

Last clue:
P.S. For anyone truly concerned, I'm breaking the rules with this third shot! It was a helluva lot easier to grab this image online than to get the screengrab of the same scene from the DVD.

Okay, taking off for a few hours here to supervise my children better.
Just a last hint before leaving: Remember that more than one country speaks the language of this film.
And since I feel so guilty for breaking the rules in my previous post
, here's the screengrab from the DVD to go with the shot above:

That's it!
The film was a co-production between Canada and France. The tomato scene is the young Leolo's explanation for how he was conceived. I guess some ultra-powerful fertilizer was used on those tomato plants.

That's an errie guess there, bobbi but that and the other attempts are wrong. Cap to come later today when I get back from work but here's a clue for you in the meantime:
The film was made independently but is a co-production with Japan.
