Nah, The Medallion is more enjoyable than The Tuxedo.

Most people hated it... but I thought it was almost OK.

Maybe I was in a good mood when I watched it?

Hey, I loved Rob-B-Hood. What's so bad about it?

Just got back from:

The Day the Earth Stood Still [3.5/5]
Good old fashioned fan B movie style stuff. Was it meant to be a bit odd and clunky? I liked it

Transporter 3 [4/5]
Franks back with another looney escaped. Plenty of action and humour. Fights are excellent to so so. Enjoyed

Yeah, but pretty much any asian actor could have filled that part. Jackie didnt deliver anything special to the movie: the action was just so-so, and the comedy came mainly from Tucker, with Chan playing the straight guy.

I'm not all that impressed with Jackie as a director either. Far from it, actually.

Armour of God starts of GREAT, with Eric Tsang directing. Then jackie falls from a tree, bumps his head, says 'ow that f-ing hurt.... ', fires the director, and makes another Jackie-movie with some lame comedy and stuff.

I dont think there are many Jackie-directed movies that I actually liked.

I'm not a fan of Dragons Forever and Wheels on Meals either, but I know they're highly regarded by JC fans.

The fact that Jackie directed The Young Master, Project A, Police Story, Armour of God, and Miracles makes me think he was the best at doing it himself.

Reviews for this have been scathing. 22% at Rotten Tomatoes.

Not a great Jackie Chan film perhaps? But a great Sammo Hung comedy for sure.

Two of Jackie's best. Sammo was on fire in the 80s.

I was really surprised by Dragons Forever. It's way better than Drunken Master 2, Project A, Police Story, Police Story 2 and so on. The HKL PE looks fantastic too.

My fave is still Police Story 3 though. I'm looking forward to the DD of that, hopefully it's not cut or at least severely cut.

I never cared for Police Story 3, but maybe that also has to do with me only having seen the international dubbed version.

It just didnt really feel like a PS movie to me, and I felt it lacked a real villain and impressive fights (apart from the short sparringsession at the traing-hall). The helicopter-stunt is cool, but still....
