I heard a rumour that Bane is going to be the villain...

Anyone know anything?

I heard Ahnoldt will be reprising his role of Mr. Freeze, and this time he'll have new polar bear slippers that fire snowballs.

The teaser-trailer did very little for me, also because the text from the guy in the bed was a bid difficult to hear...

I'm excited about the movie ofcourse, but this showed very very little (which is why it's a teaser ofcourse).

The "guy" in the bed is Commissioner Gordon, damnit. He says:
James Gordon: We were in this together. And then you were gone. Now there is evil rising. The Batman has to come back.
Bruce Wayne: What if he doesn't exist anymore?
James Gordon: He must. He must.

The editing on that bit is sublime.

I'm not a fanboy but Nolan has raised the bar with Inception following Dark Knight...a lot of people will be very interested in his final Batman.

It is indeed.

Personally, I prefer 'Batman Begins' over 'The Dark Knight'. While 'TDK' is indeed one hell of a great film, I don't see the fuss of it being one of the most successful films ever. I truly believe it grossed so much because Heath Ledger's death was so big in the papers before this film came out.

Thanks :) I didn't even recognize Gordon, although I had a feeling it was him...

Personally, I do prefer the 2nd one to Batman Begins. I like them both, but while Batman Begins was the usual origin story, I also felt it took a bit too much liberty with the whole Raz al Ghul/training (sp?) thing, and him returning in the 2nd half of the movie. Also the whole bomb on the train thing with Batman hanging on somehow magically was a bit stupid.

The Dark Knight was just epic, although I do agree it's not a movie you quickly want to watch again, due to it's lenght and darkness.

I was afraid the Ledger death-hype had taken over objective opinion about his performance, but I was very pleasantly surprised by his Joker. He absolutely nailed it. 100%. I thought the movie stayed more true to the source-material than the first movie. Ofcourse there was stuff I didn't like (the gimmicky sound-effect to increase tention, Maggie Gyllenhaal), but overal the movie was extremely impressive when I first watched it.

I also have to say I still don't really like Christian Bale as Batman/Wayne, and I would have much preferred a Joaquin Phoenix, who I feel would have been perfect as Wayne.

I agree. Batman Begins is the weakest though, the story just is too standard. It's just a typical by numbers affair.

Batman films seem to be the only ones where I'm bothered about the pre-release pictures and teasers haha.

The cast and crew have been very sketchy when asked about Catwoman and have generally avoided using that nickname. Is it possible that Hatahaway’s Kyle assists Bruce Wayne in this threequel and doesn’t actually become “Catwoman”?

It would be a shame but then superhero films tend to suffer if they've got too many villains.

Great picture btw. It's high-res in the link.

Whilst I'd buy that for a dollar, she won't beat Michelle Pfeiffer.

You think the 'Broken Bat' story arc will be part of 'The Dark Knight Rises'? Don't know, but maybe that's why the film will include Ra's al Ghul's pit.
