Are you really going to wait till they've sold 10,000 units?

Re: Asian Movies in HD!
I doubt it. Read the article. The original 5,000 has already sold out.
I seriously suspect the regular version will be the same discs. There's nothing to suggest the discs are LE. If you're worried though Grim, order it. I'm not concerned I'll miss out on the discs. It'll be nearer a tenner sooner or later. I can wait. Fair enough though, it is a great fun film.

I don't need 2 cuts. I just want the director's cut.grim_tales wrote:Maybe a "regular" version won't have both cutsDon't know.
I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Nope, the extended cut, with the flashbacks.gasteropod wrote:Is that the theatrical?

Re: Asian Movies in HD!
On IMDb it says
I'm not saying that's definitely correct, mind.Even though the Extended version is not the real DC, Fukasaku preferred the original theatrical version, it's worth a look for every fan of this movie.

Re: Asian Movies in HD!
The Extended Cut is unsurprisingly often referred to as the Director's Cut. Just as Gladiator is too, when it's very clear the original Gladiator cut is the Director's Cut. It's hardly surprising, the Extended Cut need not exist.

The theatrical cut is the director's cut.
The movie was so popular they released an extended cut with new CGI effects to milk some more money at the box office.

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
Not overkill if the set if good, and the extras are worth watching (not likely).

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
seems like a lot there for just £14.99...look like individual slipcases as well for each disc so Grim can junk everything and just keep the version he wants

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
That looks great but like Mark, it's overkill for me and would take up unnecessary space. How odd to use cases to house the LE stuff. It looks more like a box set. Just give me in a regular BD case. You can easily fit 3 discs in one.

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
Set looks great. Ordered it from Zavvi. Funny how the SE of the blu-ray is cheaper than the SE of the DVD...

Doh! It's cheaper at Zavvi than Amazon. But should I keep it on order with them in case the price goes down?

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
Even if you don't want the LE, it's still a good investment.
BTW, the 15-16 pound version over at zavvi.com IS the LE, right!? With the booklet and postcards!? Or are there multiple versions getting released!?

Re: BATTLE ROYALE SE BR/DVD
i got my order in at £14.99 at Amazon. A Regular edition will appear at the same price sometime after (or if) the LE sells out.
