Funnily enough, I've just turned to a blu-ray advert in the new edition of Empire (I bought it for its Dark Knight article, and Coen Bros), and there is Run Lola Run haha (coming 2008) and...

FIGHT CLUB

Now THAT is a must-have in high-def.

The only other one I don't think I've seen mentioned before is Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It just says 2008 again.

Cool. I hope it finally comes now.

I am pleased it was delayed though, if House of Fallen Daggers was anything to go by. It would've bound to be a BD25 with MPEG2 and space hogging PCM soundtrack.

I hope it's Remastered the DVD has always looked a wee bit ropey.

What's your source? I presume English subs haven't been mentioned on Hero? I also presume they're all HD-DVDs?

same people who released Reservoir Dogs.they'll be on blu-ray as well. the company is dutch filmworks,their dvd of Hero had no english subtitles.

Reservoir dogs hd-dvd is around £10.82 at free record shop. not sure on their shipping costs.

I have an account so can say the total price to the UK is:

€18.49/£13.34

Shipping is €3.50. Cheaper than MovieTyme and Xploited. The site is in English too.

I'd probably still pick up the BD. The HD-DVD has Lossless Audio but I'm unsure how good the AV is. That link you posted didn't exactly make it stand out. Woh VAT is 19% in Holland!

I want it, but over £20 is insane for a short film with no HD extras at all! ordering from amazon.de makes it £29 quid also, someone has to find it cheaper soon surley

what are dvd therapy like? never used them before.is delivery free? notice they don't say the 2nd disc is a region 2 dvd,at least xploited are upfront about it!

To be fair I doubt DVD Therapy have the disc or if they have they've not checked. It's not like they're being sneaky about it.

No they're not Free postage, it's:

£1.10 for the first item
£1.95 if you have 2 or 3 items
£2.45 if you have 4 items
£2.95 if you have 5 items

I've not tested it any further.

Warner in the USA and UK have done this (Matrix and Blade Runner), as have Tartan in the USA (Oldboy). I don't see the big deal, unless you're going to make the extras HD it's all SD anyway.

From the way they have been pricing the HD releases from Eyurope latley, expect a lot more than £20

even with vouchers.

Getting a Multiregion DVD Player like the rest of us then

. I hold no sympathy for someone deliberately sticking to one region then moaning they cannot play a disc because of it.

It's going to be in PAL anyway making the regional coding point moot. Warner's Matrix box set is R1 or R2/R4, as is their Blade Runner release. Tartan's Oldboy is also R1 too. Besides it's a German release so is obviously going to be Region 2. I doubt the studio expected Exploited to stock it

Aside from the extended cut aspect the BD is less than £15. If I was a pessimist I'd say it serves the stubborn people right who're only supporting one format

It's a German release, did anyone expect it to be good value for money? German (and French) releases (even DVD) are always a rip off.

their prices seem very steep and to add postage on top
