Nice of them to only include it in a boxset of titles most self respecting Kurosawa fans undoubtedly already own. They can shove up their collective arses AFAIC. :D

Throne of Blood is an early NTSC-PAL release too :D . Rashomon looks like a decent release though.

Looks like Madman gone an excellent job on The Castle of Cagliostro, see http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Reviews/Re ... sp?ID=7903

This is a special edition which is Native PAL beating the old version and some great extras. Better than R1 because it is not double sided!!

The R2UK The Castle of Cagliostro SE only has dubtitles. Does the R4?

Nope doesn't look like it, The review mentions the following
A single English subtitle stream is included, translating the Japanese dialogue, not the English dub. There are a surprising amount of differences to be found when compared with the English dub. The font is a little blocky and obtrusive, but the text is easy to follow.
So no dubtitles :)

It's been ages since we've discussed Madman Eastern Eye DVDs and even the Eastern Eye forum has all but dried up (except for the odd post there is nothing since Mid 2007).

Is there anything new(ish) to check out? They look to have all but dried up with most of their big titles having been released way back in 2006.

I see Madman have released Attack the Gas Station:

http://www.madman.com.au/actions/catalo ... ethod=view

It only has a Trailer but at least should be Anamorphic unlike the HK DVD or both USA DVDs.

Tell Me Something was released on 12/03/08:

http://www.madman.com.au/actions/catalo ... ethod=view

It only has a Trailer and Photo Gallery but is Anamorphic (unlike the HK and Korean DVDs) and should be Film to PAL (unlike the Tartan UK DVD which is Anamorphic but NTSC to PAL).
