Re: The off-topic topic
I've noticed that chen lung has asked a question about recording dialogue for audio commentaries of HK films in the New Fist of Fury thread. Dunno if chen still visits here that often but I figured I can give him some advice in here and fellow BnBers can quote me elsewhere for him to read:
To get the best quality from a group recording with everyone in multiple locations he needs to get each participant to record their own audio whilst everyone is in skype/zoom/facetime/whatever. On windows you can use Voice Recorder, which is built into windows 10, or Audacity, which is imo less prone to crashing or abruptly ending than voice recorder. On apple you have a bunch of options: Voice memo, Quicktime, GarageBand, etc.
The one thing to bear in mind though is that the audio you record privately on your device may not sync up to the audio in your skype/whatever recording later because there appears to be variations in the recording rate between PCs/devices. I used this method for a couple of years on a podcast I took part in and inevitably I would find that someone's audio was noticeably slower or faster than in the google hangouts chat recording, so I always had to tweak the timing of each indivifual recording to get it all to match that original hangouts recording.
It's a pain in the ass, but the increase in quality is definitely worth it. It's a big leap! Also if you have each controbutor’s individual recordings then you have more flexibility in editing together the commentary.

Glad to see bullets is still hanging on in there. I lost my log in details ages ago and haven't been able to reset it so i'm using a secondary account. Seems like Bluray.com is where most hang out these days, though Kung Fu Fandom is reasonably active. Anyway all the best for the new year to all.
