Two FilmArt BD's: Virgins of the Seven Seas and High Crime (uncut 103 min, the French and UK releases are missing 10 min).

Virgins of the Seven Seas was a Shaw Bros. movie? Didn't expect that
Was it a co-production as that poster looks Western?

Yes, it was a Shaw Bros. co-production with Germany.grim_tales wrote: ↑14 Apr 2023, 22:04 Virgins of the Seven Seas was a Shaw Bros. movie? Didn't expect thatWas it a co-production as that poster looks Western?
The German BD comes from a German theatrical print (as far as I can tell) and only includes German audio with English subs. I think that has kept many people from checking it out, but I don't think it's that much of a problem. Most of the film's main characters are Caucasian women, so I'm not sure it would be much of an improvement having the all dubbed in Mandarin. English audio might work, but as far as I know the German disc is the only release available. I don't know if Celestial ever touched this one, or if other releases came out on video. Maybe Mark or Killer Meteor knows?

I don't think Celestial did VOTSS because it was a full co-production.
Same went for other Euro co-productions.
Although the Euro girls probably spoke German or English - I haven't seen the film myself - the main Chinese cast would be speaking Mandarin as usual.

Pre-order for The Hot Spot, Radiance Films. Coming out in June. I remember seeing that some years ago, underrated noir as I recall. Miami Blues was recently released from the same company. I remember liking it, not loving it. Not sure if I'm that eager to pull the trigger on that one.
