Re: The eBay Advice Thread!
I sold Sleeping Beauty for a decent price but - weirdly - there are 2 different buyer addresses. One was listed in the email I got from ebay and there was a different shipping addy listed in the paypal email So I asked the seller to confirm their address.

£3.72 for a 4 disc set,by the time ebay/paypal take their cut and you pay postage you've probably made about 50p you should have traded it at CEX,they were giving a fiver for it.grim_tales wrote:No ones bid on Batman yet

For some things, yes, for other things, no. If you pick the items you sell carefully, you can make a little money from it.romerojpg wrote:As I said Ebay sucks.

Re: The eBay Advice Thread!
I was thinking of selling my Myth LE (avant garde) to clear space and then getting the BD, how much do you reckon it would cost to sell and I'd get for it? (is it worth it?)

this guy wants £20,maybe you'd get £15 or so.It's not one of Jackie's more popular efforts.grim_tales wrote:I was thinking of selling my Myth LE (avant garde) to clear space and then getting the BD, how much do you reckon it would cost to sell and I'd get for it? (is it worth it?)

Re: The eBay Advice Thread!
Thanks
My bad, actually is the "Avant Garde Collectors Edition" which is the one that guy has in a big box plus lots of LE stuff (or maybe its the same one).
I was only thinking, selling it may be a hassle as its big, thats all.

Re: The eBay Advice Thread!
The HK LE seems to have the commentary which the BD doesnt have.

The edition is limited to 5000 or something so I'm sure I'll get something for it if I put RARE! OUT OF PRINT! in the listing.

the fact you've had this disc for a couple of years and haven't bothered listening to it yet should point you in the right direction.grim_tales wrote:Good point - once possibly...saltysam wrote:is that too much of a loss? Listed it now.
Put £20 BIN which I know is the same as that other person wanted, but I dont think his had all the LE stuff, I'll see what happens with it.

Is a jiffy bag OK to send it in or will it need extra bubble wrap?

Re: The eBay Advice Thread!
The bottom has fallen out of the DVD market. Most DVDs on Play go for peanuts (less than £5) and many titles I would use to get easily over a tenner for previously, I struggled to get £7-8 for now.
Salty: Do you sell your DVDs on Play abroad, as well as the UK? I have been but given the low price, after postage I'm making no money. I reckon next time, I'm going to just sell on Play within the UK. It's not worth selling to other parts of Europe.

Re: The eBay Advice Thread!
Most of mine sold but for so much less than I was expecting.
I've done that twice now and both cost over double to post to Europe and thus both I ended up costing me money, only pennies but obviously completely pointless selling them. If I do choose to ship to the mainland, I'll add some proper postage, at leas then I won't be selling at a loss.

Re: The eBay Advice Thread!
Is it safe to bank transfers on ebay?
When I sold an item just now, the guy asked if he could use bank transfer as a payment method, I have that method listed but I was so used to using paypal.
