I thought that the Sony release of Leon was exactly the same. In fact some were complaining that there hadn't been any improvements over the European releases.

I presumed the Korean Leon BD would have both cuts.
It's Xmas time and it's a catalogue title.romerojpg wrote:and I do wonder why Leon is so cheap, how odd that some titles seem to shoot down in price latley so quickly.
That's the French Paramount BD. Is it confirmed all Euro releases are from the same master?gasteropod wrote:http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDReviews7/leon.htm
I paid £25 for the German Tin BD . I didn't pick up Fight Club though.

Those BDs (Sony vs Paramount) look identical to me. You have to remember that DVD Beaver is biased toward American product. I believe that the Optimum is no different having been taken from the exact same master.

At the very least the difference isn't pronounced enough to justify the extra cost of the US release!

Bollocks! It must've been a misprice. It's now back up at £17.99. I'd so have gone for that too . It's high on my want list.

Re: The Play.com Bargains Thread!
How would that be a misprice haha it was hardly the deal of the year at £10. If it was £1.99 then that may be a misprice.
Loads of brand new releases have been under £10 (some way under), so Trek is nothing close to a misprice, if anything it should be cheaper than that by now.

It's a 3 Disc release and they charge more for those + it's holding it's price well (around the £15-18 mark). So at under a tenner it could've easily been a misprice.romerojpg wrote:How would that be a misprice haha it was hardly the deal of the year at £10. If it was £1.99 then that may be a misprice. Star Trek 11 is at the top of my wants list but I'll only stretch to £12 tops. Really £10 though.

Damn it. I want to get that but I've bought enough this month. Thanks. Hopefully it will stay at that price. If not, oh well.

Thanks Mark. I'm happy with my DVD though, which isn't great but it'll do. It's no Terminator/Terminator 2/Predator in the Arnie stakes. It's in my top 10 Arnie films though.
