Re: The Amazon Bargains Thread!
Wow a whole 39 cents cheaper than when you last posted this a few weeks ago you seem intent on buying the digibook, you do realise that Sony will soon stop producing this and it'll revert to a normal amaray..you'll end up paying more for the sake of a few cents.Wouldn't mind if it was a few dollars you were worrying over but cents??grim_tales wrote:Taxi Driver - $12.60, cheapest I've seen it yet.

Star Wars Original Trilogy Blu-ray £28.64: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Wars-Origi ... B003AQCAZE
Not really a bargain as such but it's dropping in the right direction. I reckon when it's £25 I'll buy.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here, but I've read that the films have been tampered with AGAIN by Lucas. You may want to do a check on this.

Are you surprised? They're mostly minor, one new controversial change. This is well worth a read:

It's a shame the original cuts are only available on ropey DVDs and yes they are ropey.

Just reading a bit here and there... is that the biggest ass kissing article ever? I don't know what publication that is... but seriously, how did that article ever get published? No respectable media would ever put something like that on their site...

TechRadar . The clue's in the name. It's owned by Future Publishing, based in my home town. Who're one of the biggest publishing houses in the country. TechRadar is online only.
The article is gushy but does it matter? It's full of info about the BDs/new changes. I suggest you read it this time. The site's one of the best tech sites on the web.

I know what it's called I mean I didn't know what sort of publication it was supposed be... like, is it a common joke that people read for laughs, maybe something like Daily Mail... Apparently not, although that's the first impression I got.
I suppose their other articles are not as embarrassing as that one.

Oh my mistake. It's a serious tech website. The articles are generally independent but occasionally they're sponsored, it tends to say when they are. From my perspective, it reads more like a gushing fan than anything else. Also remember, many people aren't bothered by the remasters.
It's the best article I've read on the blu-ray changes.

It's back up to £33. I so want to buy this now but I'm not paying that much. Come on and come down to the £25 mark!bradavon wrote:Star Wars Original Trilogy Blu-ray £28.64: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Wars-Origi ... B003AQCAZE

Pulp Fiction: Pretty good price for a pre-order: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pulp-Fiction-Bl ... B005FE6ZLY
I'm gonna Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown for sure but when they're under a tenner, which shouldn't take long.
