Edward Norton Replaced As The Hulk
Edward Norton has been replaced as The Hulk by Mark Ruffalo for the upcoming Avengers movie. Though the movie itself was a throwaway actioner i thought Norton was pretty good as Bruce/The Hulk so it's a pity. The Avengers should be cool but i imagine could suffer from something that sometimes troubled The X-Men movies, too little screentime given to certain characters.Joss Whedon is an interesting choice as director..cracking cast as well and i look forward to seeing Downey's Iron Man under a new director...the first was good but the sequel a huge disappointment imo.

My guess would be they don't want Norton sticks his nose in too much. As he always seems to do. I know it would never happen but I was hoping for Eric Bana.
Joss Whedon is a good choice (I didn't know that). It's pretty guaranteed some characters will be sidelined. Cyclops was really badly treated in X2 and even worse in X-men 3. As concept I'm looking forward to it. Wasn't Superman in the Avengers, no?

Wrong team.Superman is in the Justice League along with Batman,Flash,Green Arrow,Wonder Woman,Green Lantern etc. DC Comics. The Avengers is Marvel.bradavon wrote: Wasn't Superman in the Avengers, no?

That's it. Thanks. If this is a success, I bet that comes next. I'm surprised there's no wonder woman. That said female superhero films tend to bomb.

Norton is a great actor though.
He stuck his nose into American History X and made it a better film.

If that many actors I bet they wanted to keep the costs down too. Something Norton isn't known for.

I didn't care about Cyclops being sidelined in the X-Men movies...
...he's a major douche in the comics, in the cartoons, and in the couple of scenes he's in in the movies. Horrible horrible character.

Yeah, in the comics... where's he's a major douche as well.bradavon wrote:He's one of the main characters though.
I'm glad that in the late 80's/early 90's they decided to 'kill' the X-men, after which they ended up in the desert in Australia WITHOUT Cyclops. Good times.

You mean you think Norton demands high pay?bradavon wrote:If that many actors I bet they wanted to keep the costs down too. Something Norton isn't known for.
he is hardly a bankable star in any sense of the word. In fact many of his films are piss poor flops, so he has no big cash payout for most of his films. Lucky if he gets paid for some of them
