Anyone got the Wild China Blu-Ray?

Hey,
I was considering getting the BBC series Wild China on BD at some point if it's a reasonable price as it's stunning series IMO, beautifully shot and really interesting
The thing is I heard some reports on Amazon that the BD picture is not very good - certainly not a step up from DVD and maybe even worse !
Can anyone give opinions on the picture quality? Some reviews say its bad and others better, so I'm not sure.
