The Funhouse (Arrow)

Post by Markgway »

Don't know if anyone's interested in this but the Arrow BD is horizontally stretched

SD vs 1080p aside the Universal DVD looks the more satisfying presentation.

What's with Arrow?

In the first comparison cap, it looks like the Universal is vertically stretched.

Yeah I really don't see how Mark can confidently confirm the Blu-ray is stretched when the DVD so clearly is!

Fair enough... but the rest of the caps look correct on the DVD.

The BD doesn't look necessarily wrong, if it is horizontally stretched it's not to a noticeable degree like some HKL's were.

The main problem is that, as per usual, DVDBeaver haven't put enough thought into their comparison grabs! If there's an issue with stretching then we need a good number of grabs showing different scenarios, most importantly grabs with the actors's faces shown directly (and not at an angle, over-the-shoulder or profile) and shots which contain objects that have specific geometric properties (like the bathroom tiles in that first grab).
