Two editions, I think.

Fancy packaging and (lower cost) non-fancy packaging.

Guess which I'll be buying...? ;)

These Sony re-duxes make me hope they'll finally do Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon properly, with the better subtitle translation.

I wonder why Sony changed it? I've only seen the theatrical subtitles (on the R3 and one UK R2)

Postponed to September 8 over reports that Criterion screwed up the transfer and stretched it far too much.

The UK Arrow release is excellent and can be had for peanuts.Even when corrected cannot see this Criterion improving on the Arrow in any significant way. Pointless release for me here in the uk at least.

The French release (Carlotta) is pretty fine too, only USP I can see is the Criterion is a 4K remaster apparently :?

Yeah, it looks pretty:
http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0& ... 56&i=4&l=1

I never bought the previous BD edition because the caps looked so yellow and the whites seemed blown out. This new BD seems to fix those.

Thanks :)

Is it definitely region locked to A?

How is the sound mix? I'm hoping it doesn't sound too fucked up

As Terminator fans around the world anticipate the theatrical re-release of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” this summer with a brand new 3D conversion, Studiocanal is already prepping for its home video release. And apparently, fans won’t have to be waiting long to add the newest rendition of this science fiction classic to their home video library!

Studiocanal has reportedly confirmed that the Blu-ray release for “Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3D” will debut late this year, in the second half of 2017, likely on retail shelves in time for the holidays. This is certainly good news for all the fans around the world that live in countries that might not benefit from a theatrical cinema release.

Of course you’ll need a 3D television to enjoy the 3D conversion, but fans with out such luxuries will still be able to enjoy a beautiful 4K remastering, resulting in the best looking version of T2 to date.

There is no information at press time in regards to new special features, audio commentaries, and if the fan favorite remastered Special Edition of T2 will ever see the light of day.

We’ll be back!
Hopefully the Special Edition is coming too :) Look forward to this.

It should include the 2D release too (right?)
Hopefully the Special Edition is there too.
