Superman Returns combo was about £18.20 with postage,a bit pricey but it's pricey everywhere. i thought i'd give dvdworldusa a try after reading good reports on the forums about them. i used movietyme for Enter The Dragon hd-dvd £12.99 next day delivery. Pity cd-wow don't stock hd-dvd discs (yet)

I can't see them stocking HD (it's wise not to ignore BD completely) for ages yet. They only stock SACDs if they're Hybrids and only DVD-A if they also come with a CD.

CD WOW as you know have a tight stock policy.

That said I can seriously see them stocking Combos BUT then will most DVD buyers buy them considering the cost so CD WOW maybe put off. The cost of Hybrid SACDs is virtually the same as CDs.

It's worth an e-mail.

We're more likely to get good combos from Universal, since they're a lazy DVD producer and would opt to just clone the existing DVD.

List of HD-DVD combos of all extras on the DVD side:-
Good Night, and Good Luck
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Lady in the Water
Land of the Dead
An American Werewolf in London
Fearless
The Breakfast Club
Danny the Dog/Unleashed: US Cut
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Slither
Animal House
16 Blocks

Certified crap films with good combos:-
The Ant Bully
The Scorpion King
You, Me and Dupree
Rumor Has It
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Accepted
ATL (all nigria film + music video director = automatic crap)

You mean The Grinch with Jim Carrey right?
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is the 1967 animation.

Yes, the Ron Howard film. It's been retitled on "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" on subsequent DVD releases, including this new HD-DVD version.

I wouldn't go as far to say Universal release crap DVDs but regardless thanks for the list. It's useful.

Only "Lady in the Water" and "An American Werewolf in London" interest me. The former is too risky to spend £18.99 on, blind. I'll see if I can watch it for free or rent first. I've not rented in years as I normally wait for the price to drop but I've got a feeling Combos won't be dropping any time soon.

I have AAWIL on pre-order. I hope it's as good as they say. The added advantage being the R1 has DTS not on the UK Discs, which as they're oddly 2 discs will mean even if the UK gets a combo it will be bare-bones.

Except its a low budget English film which I'm pretty sure was recorded in mono, so DTS isn't going to be a big improvement...

I know and agreed but I'd like to hear for myself. If it's not there I can't even decide.

AAWIL's original mono has never been on any DVD, only a 5.1 track with added/replaced foley.

Is Bond coming to either format soon? I have the SE's and I'm not bothering with the UE's given that they're all from new HD masters and have even been aired in HD this year.

As Eva says the Bonds are MGM/Sony/Fox titles which means BD.

Blu-ray Disc to be precise. BD has become the short form for Blu-ray (like DVD). It's BD or HD-DVD.

Eva then comes along and invents his own :D (BRD), Blu-ray is being considered one word. I've no idea why it's Blu not Blue though.
